Castor sighed. If Engle wanted to be difficult, that was fine. He didn't care.
"What do you think it was?" Castor said, talking to Adelaide. -
“A ghost, except I’m absolutely sure this aren’t real. Maybe the reflection of sun on the water.”

Alexis heard a group talking about ghosts. "Ghosts don't exist," she said matter of factly.

“How do you know that? You haven’t seen one?” Adelaide said sharply, crossing her arms.

"no, I haven't," Alexis said. "I've seen a great many things, and ghosts aren't one of them. Anyway, you were probably just seeing a reflection of a cloud in the water. It's a little cloudy today."

“Just because you haven’t seen one doesn’t mean they aren’t real. And there weren’t any clouds above us when me and Castor were canoeing.”
