I immediately thought of The Boy who Learned to Shiver, but that wasn't quite the same as this. "That's cool," I said. "And if you failed?"
-
"if you failed you could get one of two endings depending on what order you used and the choices you made one of the endings sees your character murdered by the ghosts and one that is the secret ending where you journey to hell and find out more about the ghosts you met" I said
-
"You should make it," I said. "Make a ton of money, and become famous."
-
"I don't have the programming skills to make games." I say.
-
"Neither do I," I said. "So I guess I'm no help."
-
"nah it was a good idea but I gave up on it a long time ago." I said.
-
"Ok," I said.
-
"I always think of animations, games, stories, and even products I could make if I had the skills. 'Tis a painful thing indeed," I said.
-
"I always think of inventions," I said, "But I want to be a chemist, not an inventor."
-
"A chemist?" I said. "Why is that?"
-
"I don't know," I said. "I've just always been obsessed with it. Like, when I was 3, I asked my mom why the plastic little sample cups from the grocery store was made of was different than other kinds of plastic. And why it was more flimsy and bendable instead of breakable. My mom didn't quite know how to answer."
-
"The thickness, the way it was manufactured, the ingredients?" I said, listing possibilities. "I don't know what I want to be."
-
"well, I also want to be an author," I said. "You can too. After all, you are the Stage Beast."
-
"I like writing. And I do like being an author. I just don't want to be my JOB job. I want something a little sturdier and a bit more dependable. I don't know what it is yet," I admitted.
-
I shrugged. "Alright," I said. "I plan on doing both."
