Aiden pet Dustball and, reassured that this WAS indeed his good hooman, purred as well.

Tilly calmed down with the hissing but still glared at Aiden.

Aiden apologized to Tilly about the whole ordeal.

Tilly decided to believe him for now and take a nap.

Aiden still felt the squirm of guilt in his chest. He had almost killed Mikan, all because he hadn't been able to overcome that serum.

"so, can I get the full story of what happened?" Mikan asked.

Aiden told Mikan everything but the fact that the serum had also been a form of torture.

"that eggsplains everything." Mikan said sounding relieved.

"Hrm," Aiden said. Dustball appeared to have been listening and mewled.

Tilly, who had been secretly listening the whole time, decided to completely forgive Aiden for endangering her hooman.

Aiden was happy that Tilly had forgiven him, and felt the guilt slowly ebb away.

"I'm just happy that everything is ok now." Mikan said.

"Yeah," Aiden said. "You know, we've never gone on an actual date before..."

"so where would you like to go for our first official date?" Mikan asked.

"What about a picnic?" Aiden suggested. "I'll get some food and be right back."
