Aiden nodded. "Listen, I'll have to leave pretty soon."

"wh-why?" Mikan said.

"Because they'll come after me again," Aiden said. "And again and again. You'll never be safe. Besides, what if I snap? What happens then?"

"I don't know." Mikan said.

"I can't stay with you," Aiden said. "No matter how much I want to."

Mikan started to cry.

Aiden hugged her. "I'm so, so sorry." -
(me:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!)
"why do I have to lose everything?" Mikan asked. -
Aiden brushed some hair away from her face. "I want to be here to protect you," he said. "But I can't protect you from myself unless I go."

Mikan felt selfish for wanting him to stay. It was dangerous for him to stay too.

"Maybe we'll still be able to see each other," Aiden said. "Once in a while."
(Me, crying: Mikan, make him stay!) -

"It's not the same, Everytime I go somewhere I wonder if you'd like the place too, Everytime I see you my sorrow and worries disappear, and every second I'm away from you I think about the Time when I'll see you again." Mikan said. -
Aiden held Mikan close to him. "I know. I feel the same way about you. That's why I have to go."
(Me: AAAAAAAH) -

Mikan had never felt so helpless. Not even around her father, or her stepmother. She felt like she was going to die.
