Mikan walked into her house and collapsed on her couch. "Maybe I should die." Mikan said.

A little tabby kitten brushed up against him, mewling, and he picked her up and put her in his hoodie pocket. She purred at the warmth. -
(it's all good I love cats personally)
Mikan always thought she shouldn't have been born. She always blamed herself for the deaths in people closest to her as well. She especially blamed herself for her mother's death. "Why was I born?" Mikan whispered to herself as she fell asleep. -

Aiden carried the little kitten home, finally falling asleep on the couch. -

Mikan got a ride to school because she was forced to. Her friend came up to her crying talking about how their brother was mad at them. Mikan wanted to scream about how much worse everything was for her, but she knew that wouldn't change anything. -
(OOF)
Aiden saw Mikan at school the next day, and she looked tense. Did her father tip her off? He would try to avoid her today, if he could. -
Mikan comforted her friend then went into the school missing the bell.

Aiden went to the back of the class, trying to look as natural as possible.

Mikan trudged in slowly. The teacher noticed her immediately. "Mikan mononoke why were you late!" The teacher roared. Inside she was panicking and her father's past actions were mixing with reality as the teacher yelled. "She was fooling around with some boys at the gate." Mikan's supposed friend she was comforting said. She had thrown mikan under the bus.

Aiden was furious. Say nothing, he repeated to himself.
"She wasn't," Aiden snapped. "She was comforting that sorry excuse of a friend." -
Now the teacher was confused. Mikan had never been anything but a punctual student. Full of knowledge and vigor. On the other hand the other student was the same only much more social. "She held a knife to my throat saying if I told anyone I'd be dead!" Mikan's traitorous friend said.

"She didn't do anything like that!" Aiden yelled, standing up now. "You're a liar!"
