Cameron chased after her and shot down the tunnel, landing unsteadily on his feet next to Brynn.
"Where are we?" he said, looking around. -
Amelia rolled her eyes and followed Cameron. "And will somebody explain what in the world happened while you guys chased a cat?"
-
Destiny, against her better judgement, went down the say hole Brynn did. Landing where she was, Destiny answered to Amelia "Ryan's been kidnapped."
-
"Kidnapped?" Amelia said. "In an abandoned house? With no people in it?"
-
Cameron looked at the tunnels. "We should choose the one with the least dust. That would mean it's been more recently traveled."
-
"Maybe, but considering Ryan was kidnapped," Amelia said.
-
“I’m sure he just feel through one of these nasty tunnels, like I did.” Brynn stated, unable to accept the fact that maybe her brother had been kidnapped.
-
Cameron inspected all of the tunnels before pointing at the second one to the right. "That one."
-
Brynn crossed her arms, “Um, that’s the wrong one. It’s obviously that one.” She said in a matter-of-fact way. She pointed to a narrow and short tunnel, “Duh.”
-
"Oh my goodness, let's just pick a way," Amelia said. She pushed past them and went through the one to the left of the middle one.
-
Cameron rolled his eyes. "Obviously it's that one. Mine makes sense," he said. "Forget it. I'm going my way, you can go whichever way you want."
And with that, he left. -
Brynn called after Cameron, “Oh, ok! If I were you I’d want to go down the oddest tunnel, who knows? Maybe you’ll get kidnapped like Ryan did!” She stalked off towards her tunnel and started to walk down it.
-
Cameron scowled and continued down his tunnel, muttering something about incompetence. He was so angry that he didn't notice the swish of a cat's tail.
-
Amelia went through the tunnel she knew was the right one. Honestly, it didn't matter, they were all probably going to lead to the same place.
-
Cameron heard a gentle meow and looked over. There, looking thoroughly pleased with himself, was Whoopie. Before he could run away, Cameron snatched the cat up.
"You caused a lot of trouble, you know," Cameron said. Whoopie meowed in reply.
