Cameron rolled his eyes and walked into the tunnel, Sesame swaying merrily on his shoulder still.

Amelia followed Cameron. There was no reason for them to all be in a bad mood. They were there, and they needed to get out.

Cameron gave Sesame a gentle stroke. He realized that Sesame must be female. He smiled to himself and pet her.

Brynn noticed the tunnel slowing upwards slightly, “Good, we’re going the right way!” Checking her watch she muttered, “And we’ve only got a few minutes till midnight, I didn’t realize how long we spent walking down tunnels and trying to search for Whoopie.”

"The only reason we're in this situation is because you guys went to look for a cat" Amelia said.

“Shut up. He’s a special cat.” She muttered. “Whatever, let’s just find Ryan.” She came to a flight of stairs, leading upwards. Brynn held. Onto the railing carefully and took a step onto the first stair. Climbing her way up the stairs, she stumbled a bit. It was one of those steep staircases that had wobbly wooden steps and a shaking railing.

Cameron tested the stairs with his foot before walking up them.

Amelia followed a bit lazily but also slightly cautious behind them. Apparently she was the only one that didn't care if the cat lived or died.

Cameron tested the next step gingerly before deciding to walk up the staircase.

Brynn sped up the staircase, now that she knew it was safe. Occasionally, she would stumble a bit from going to fast, “It feels like we’re going no where!”

"Well, we have to be going somewhere, otherwise we wouldn't be moving at all," Amelia said.

Cameron snorted. Amelia always took everything seriously. "True. But this is like walking up a vertical treadmill."
