Just then Erin Harrison walked in the doors of the school with a huge grin on her face, excited to see all of her friends that she hadn't seen all summer. She was going to be a senior, and she didn't want to waste the chance of being at the top of the school. She slipped her backpack off when she saw Cassandra. She waved and ran right over to give her a hug.
(Is that good??? I've never done this before lol) -
Jack didn't want to go back. He could almost hear them. "Jack sit with me at lunch." Jack borrow my pencil.no mine. no mine. Then when they didn't think he could hear them they'd say "he's so entitled. I'm just nice to him cause of his hot older brother." Then "he's cute but Soo generic."
Meanwhile boras was dreading having to spend even one minute with these inferior beings. His brother Jack was already uncomfortable with the people because they talked about jack behind his back. -
Caleb walked into school. Great. Another torturous year of being alone, and being the outsider. Wonderful. He hoped that maybe he could make friends with at least ONE person this year. That would be enough for him.
-
(Yeah, that's good.)
Cassandra saw Erin hailing her, so she walked over to her and returned the given hug. "I can tell you're excited," she said. "Your New Years resolution should be that you stop focusing on being the center of attention for one day."
(One of my friends actually did that for her resolution. -
(is there a certain post order we should make? Or should we just go with the flow?)
-
(Let's just go with the flow for this one.)
-
Boras went straight to class. He was a grade above jack so he was worried what the inferiors would do to his brother.
Meanwhile jack was held up by his friends who had to talk to him before class. His friends that were boys wanted him to set them up with someone. His friends that were girls wanted him to set them up with boras. -
Caleb saw a group of giggly girls pestering this one guy. He wondered why and hoped that he would never be in a situation like that.
-
Erin's bright toothy grin turned into a small frown. "It's not my fault I'm popular!"
-
"You're popular because you draw everybody's attention," Cassandra said, laughing. "So what're you hoping for today?"
-
"Hm, I don't know, I guess I just hope that I have a good senior year," She said, twirling her blonde hair around her finger. She caught sight of all of the commotion going on around some kid. "Jack Spade," She whispered, and started to walk over.
James Parker was one among Jack's many friends. James saw all of what was going on, with his other friends trying to set him up. He was jealous because he wished that he could be the one in the middle of that ruckus, but he wasn't even popular. Jack was one of the only people that liked to hang out with him, and even then sometimes Jack would choose his other friends over him. -
Boras was more than tired of this. These girls Were overly annoying. They bothered his brother trying to get a date with him. Then if destroying his brother's mental state didn't work, they'd bother him personally before class.
Meanwhile jack got to class right before the bell rang and alone. He didn't want anyone to sit by him. They would just want sometimes from his brother. Why did boras have to be so perfect that they befriended jack so they can be at the top. It made him so done with people. -
A boy with curly light brown hair and green eyes caught his eye. Even though they didn't look alike, he could tell that they both shared the same feeling: feeling left out. He decided to go talk to him.
"Hi," he said, painfully. -
"Hey," James said. What was someone doing, talking to him? The loser that he was, no one would ever want to talk to James. But maybe this guy was different. Maybe he would understand.
James said in a small voice, "Wouldn't it suck to, um, be in the shadow of a hot, popular guy?" Crap, I did not just say hot, he thought to himself. "I mean, people judging you and only wanting to hang out with you just to hook up with the older brother?" CRAP. I did NOT just say "hook up". James scolded himself and the bell rang for everyone to get to class. He didn't need someone else making fun of him for being "gay", so he just quickly ran off to his first period. -
Cassandra was wondering what Erin was doing. "So?" she said. "It's just Jack."
