"You feeling ok at least?" Jaiden asked the girl, then he realized he didn't even know her name.

"My head's pounding," she said. "But other than that I feel fine. I'm Jenna by the way."

Jaiden looked her in the eyes. "Jaiden," he had said. He continued to walk along side Jenna.

Jenna nodded in response. She found that the vibration going up her body from the pound of her feet against the forest floor was making the pounding in her head go away.

“I know these woods well,” Jaiden said, almost as if he was bragging. “I assume you do too.” He looked at Jenna and blinked his eyes fast. She probably couldn’t tell whether he was being sarcastic or serious.

"A little," Jenna breathed. She tried to think of something else to say. "Do you have any other powers besides fire?"

Jaiden looked down at his hands and bit his bottom lip. “Not really..” He said. It wasn’t exactly a lie, but it wasn’t the truth either.

"Not really implies that there's other things that you'd rather not say," Jenna said, looking at him.
