Jenna heard the warning bells in the castle ring. There were certain rhythms for different kinds of emergencies. She knew this one all too well. Magic. She didn't know if it was her or somebody else, but she had to leave. She abandoned her work, packed her satchel with food and everything she thought she might need, grabbed her belt with the sword in it, put her dagger in her bag, put her cloak on, and ran out the back door. She looked out on the street. The Guard was everywhere. She started traveling through the alleyways.
-
Deep into the woods, a boy was struggling. “Agh!” he shouted as he was hit by a blast of fire, his own magic. His hand arm was burned, but not severely. His body had somehow adapted according to his powers, but it just wasn’t enough. Every so often he would still be harmed. He was practicing today, but not mindfully. He was blasting his fire magic at trees and other random objects. It was a surprise he hadn’t burned the whole forest down.
-
Jenna eventually got to the city wall. Not the gate. They'd double or triple the amount of guards there. She shifted into a raccoon, and climbed to the top of the wall. She climbed down the other side, and turned back into a human. She ran into the forest to escape. She heard loud, rough men running in the distance behind her and the bells still ringing away. She started smelling smoke. She sincerely hoped that they weren't going to burn down the forest to find her. She ran into a clearing where she barely dodged a shot of flame.
-
Jaiden watched as a figure farted through the forest in the distance. He really hoped he didn’t harm them in any way but he was curious. Then, suddenly there was a boom of heavy footsteps. Several armored men were chasing through the woods. They must be after whoever Jaiden saw. Quickly he ran as fast as he could further to the other edge of the forest, and hid behind the wide trunk of an oak tree.

(I'm farting through the forest?)

With her peripheral vision, Jenna saw a figure to her left running. The person didn't look like a Hunter, but she couldn't be sure. She leaped over a fallen tree and kept on running. She suddenly had the choice between two paths. She had been running off the paths, but she suddenly encountered them at this fork in the road. She decided to go in between the two paths. Eventually she realized her mistake, as she came face to face with a wall of stone. She turned around, ready to fight.

Oh LOL I meant to type “darted” that’s funny tho
Jaiden tracked the figure down and chased after it. “Wait!” He shouted at it, then he realized the figure was a girl who looks about the same age as himself. The guard were really hunting down this girl. -
Jenna was trapped. there was the stone cliff on one side, and the Hunters on the other. She couldn't go around the stone, because it was too long. She had just enough time to unsheathe her sword and get her dagger out of her bag before the Hunters were attacking her. She fought them off best she could.
-
Jaiden stood in watched. He was in awe. He had to admit that she was a skilled fighter. Unlike this girl, Jaiden had never fought anyone. He always tried to be peaceful and had only practiced his magic on inanimate objects.
-
She struck down another Hunter, when she saw the Head Hunter. The rest of the lowlier Hunters stood back as this giant came towards her. She thought quickly. She couldn't take him on, there was no way she'd survive. She hoped they didn't have archers. She jumped to get airborne, and Shifted into a sparrow. She flew to the top of the cliff and kept on flying, but it turned out the did have archers, because not very far from the edge of the cliff, she got shot. She Shifted back into a human, and tumbled to the ground. She struggled up, and broke the shaft of the arrow that had pierced her shoulder.

Jaiden knew that he couldn't keep concealing himself behind that tree. He couldn't watch all of this go down. Without hesitation, he blasted burning flames of fire towards the guards, including the archers. He knew he didn't want to burn down the forest but he also didn't know if he had a choice. "Stick with me if you wanna stay alive!" Jaiden shouted at the girl. He had been stunned watching her shift into that bird, but now he didn't feel alone. He started to run in the opposite direction of the fire, looking back to see if she would follow.
