Hector nodded, grinning. "Thank you, ma'am!"
He joined the class of other little kids, and James sat down and sighed.
"They are getting very good." -
"Indubitably," Gaynor said. Four years of teaching with James had worn on her language.

"I expect that most will be ready to move onto a more advanced class," James said. "How are you feeling?"

"Fine, why?" Gaynor asked.

(39-40 rps now)
"I was just wondering," James said. 84 trotted up to them, yipping happily. Other robotic dogs that James had made over the years followed him gleefully. -
(Shouldn't you know if you're in 39 or 40?)
"I think I should be asking you, not the other way around," Gaynor said, smiling. "You're old." She said that last sentence like one of the kids they had taught would have. -
(Well, some have sort of slowed to a halt)
James pretended to look offended. "How dare you! For your information, I am not old!" -
"You're 41," Gaynor, said, almost laughing. "Some consider that as old."
She heard a young girl, Bella, say, "The teachers are fighting!" and then many of the other students started yelling with joy. -
"Not as old as you think. I am perfectly able-bodied and able-minded," James retorted, and by this time, the other children began chanting "Fight! Fight! Fight!".

"Hm," was all Gyanor said.

"Fight!" a little boy yelled. James ruffled his hair, and the little boy giggled.
"Do you not know it is dishonorable to fight a lady?" James said, and the children laughed.
"Gaynor is not a lady, she is a fighter!" Hector retorted. "Ladies are frilly." -
Gaynor put her hand over her mouth to keep from laughing. "Too true," she said.

"Is it a friendly battle you wish then?" James said, to the cheers of the children.

"You of all people should know I'm a fighter," Gaynor said.

James brushed himself off. "On the count of three then. One, two..."
