"What was the nightmare?" Tessa asked.

"..I-I saw a human with a knife.." Alyth said softly as she curled up in Tessa's lap.

"And that's why you attacked?" Tessa asked.

"...Y-Yes..I-I just..didn't want to be hurt again.." Alyth mumbled.

"Again?" Tessa said. "I won't let anything happen to you again."

Alyth slowly had pulled down her hood,revealing the crack that trailed down the top of her skull to the corner of her right eyesocket.

"Oh my," Tessa said, her mouth hanging open. "Who did that to you?"

"..Another human found me in the same alleyway where you found me..they held a bag of fruit and were telling me that they wouldn't hurt me..I fell for their trick and then I was hit with what I assumed to be a bat.." Alyth said softly as she slowly pulled her hood back over her head."I-I didn't see that they had a partner with them..the last thing I remembered was me being knocked against the wall and then a searing pain came from my head before I blacked out.." She continued.

"Did you think I was going to do the same too you?" tessa asked, "When you first saw me?"

"..Yes.." Alyth admitted as she soon held her tail close to her form."But then I realized that I could trust you.." She said softly as she soon had her arms around her,slightly burying her face into Tessa's torso.

"I know," Tessa said. "Let's get some sleep."

Alyth slowly nodded her head,though she was kinds scared to sleep.

Tessa stroked Alyth's head until the fell asleep. They slept peacefully through the night.

Alyth snuggled into Tessa as she slept peacefully.

Tessa woke up in the morning . . . but couldn't get up. Alyth was sort of wrapped around her in a way so that she couldn't move. Tessa chuckled silently.
