The girl answered "12." Annabelle looked at the girl closer and asked "What's your name?" "Yeszana." she answered. Annabelle pulled Yeszana out of the closet and saw she had what looked like bruises on her arms.
-
"What do we do with her?" Hunter asked Annabelle, not bothering to whisper or hide his question from the girl. Their options were limited. They couldn't let her in the army, Hunter doubted she could handle a weapon. They couldn't babysit her in Annabelle's castle like it was some sort of daycare.
-
Annabelle said to Hunter "What do you think?" She then turned to Yeszana and said "Come with us. We'll take care of you." Yeszana asked "What?" "We'll make sure no one hurts you anymore." Yeszana smiled and hugged Annabelle.
-
"Anna..." Hunter said, pulling her to the side to whisper to her out of Yeszana's earshot. "Do you think that's such a good idea? The castle will be crawling with orc and troll warriors, it's not exactly a good place for an elf child to roam around in," He said warily.
-
Annabelle whispered "First of all, we don't have trolls. No one does, they're extinct. Second, none of our minions or soldiers will lay a finger on her, lest they incur my wrath. We're bringing her home. No argument." Annabelle then grabbed Yeszana's hand and walked with her out of the house.

(Bump)
-
Hunter followed after Anna, still a bit unsure. There were no good things that could result from taking the child with them. Hunter had trouble empathizing with anyone other than Anna, and they've never really disagreed so completely on things before.
-
(Given his attitude towards adopting a kid, I'm guessing Hunter doesn't even want biological kids.)
Annabelle and Yeszana walked out to several orcs with stolen loot in hand. Gronic said "We did what you asked, Overlord. Everything that's not nailed down is ours." Annabelle said "Good. Let's go." and everyone began walking out of the woods. -
-
(Depends on the situation I guess. He'd do whatever it takes to make Anna happy)
Hunter followed a bit behind Annabelle and Yeszana, unsure of how to talk to them or approach them. At some point, though, he finally took some purposeful strides forward to walk beside them. "So.. Yeszana was it? Does your rabbit also have a name?" He asks tenderly. -
Yeszana looked at Hunter and answered "His name is Ripley. My grandma gave me him when I was two. She was always so nice to me." Annabelle asked "Where is your grandma?" Yeszana looked sad and said "She's dead. Since I was 5. Ripley's all that's left."
-
-
"Well, not all that's left. You have us to take care of you now," Hunter said to Yeszana. He wasn't sure if that was the right thing to say, and after some further thought Hunter decided that it was too forthcoming.
-
Yeszana smiled and said "Thank you." Annabelle also looked at Hunter and gave him one of her rare smiles.
After a five day trip, the group returned to Annabelle's castle. Yeszana looked in awe at it. She asked "You live here?" Annabelle said "Yes. This is our castle." -
