Adonis yawns as she gets out the car, following after Wilson and Danny. "Yeah yeah yeah boardroom talk, that all sounds great," Adonis says, then she bends down and whispers to Danny, "Hey who is this guy?" She asks.

“The leader of NEST” he whispered back, and followed him to the board room.
“Okay, now that you’re all here we have missions for you guys.” The room went dark and a minister popped up. “For the past few months you guys were helping us apprehended many superpowered individuals, and we’re eternally thankful for that. One still remains, this fire vigilante guy,” he pointed to the minister as photos and footage of the vigilante appeared on the screen. “He has been shown to help, but his ways are twisted, and that makes him a bit of a threat. We need you guys to help apprehend this guy, but there’s a slight problem.” Wilson pressed a button on a remote and the monitor changed. Schematics of a powered exoskeleton appeared on the screen. “This is a prototype suit of armor that is useful for tracking down and combating against super powered individuals. We were in the development stage before one got stolen. And now, a dangerous weapon is out there, and whoever has it will stop at nothing to target people like you…including you. Find the suit before it finds you.”
The lights came back on and Danny stood up faster than he had ever before.
“You mean to tell us that there’s a weapon capable of killing people like us? How long did you guys have this up your sleeve? Were you ever gonna tell us, or did you just expect to keep it when we were working for you ‘just as a precaution’!?”
“It’s not like that. This was our original intent for fixing the mistake that we caused. But then you give came along and proved to us that good people still exist and will use powers responsibly.”
Danny scoffed at the director. “So, what we’re supposed to believe that? And what do you mean ‘the mistake you caused’?”
Wilson got quiet. Danny slowly sat back down “You’re the reason we’re like this? Others are like this? You’re the reason that people, including us are without their families?”
Wilson didn’t say anything for a while then opened the door. “Please come with me, there’s someone I’d like you all to meet. Maybe this’ll clear the air. And you choose to still not believe me, you all are free to go, no questions asked.” -
Alice couldn't believe what she was hearing. This explains why they wanted to talk to them when they were in the hospital. Now there's some sort of weapon designed to hunt them down. Life just got a whole lot more interesting.

Akumu made a quiet rumbling sound his place on his siblings shoulders in the form of a large black snake, causing Yume to reach up and pat him "who is it that your wanting us to meet" the lighter twin asked, sounding distrustful

Adonis, who was tired a few seconds ago from the whiplash that resulted in using her teleportation ability, immediately tensed up when she heard what Wilson said. She looked like she wanted to say something, but then thought better of it and just kept silent for now. Adonis looked pissed, despite her silence.

Director Wilson lead the team into a room where scientists were working. He lead them to a female who had her back to the team. She looked busy, was starring a screens trying to locate the missing armor.
“Doctor?” Said the Director.
“Sir, I’m externally busy right now, can’t this way-“ she turned around and stopped mid sentence. The woman wore her hair up and had glasses. She was quite beautiful. She brushed a stray strand of hair behind her hair and pushed her glasses up.
“Everyone, this is Doctor Quinn Bertly.” Wilson said.
Quinn lifted her arm and waved. “You must be the team. I gotta say it’s a pleasure to meet you in person. I guess my serum worked after all”
Danny’s eyes widened. “You’re QB? We found your journal at the site of the genetics lab.”
“Do you have it?” Quinn asked “what else did you find? Did you find anything else?”
“We-“ Danny looked at his friends. They did find one vial of the serum, but maybe they couldn’t trust her just yet. He had already blabbed about the journal, maybe it was best not to mention anything to anyone else.
“No, unfortunately. Sorry.” Danny said. -

Adonis appraised Doctor Quinn Bertley, but continued to keep quiet. She was in between seething with anger and bursting with curiosity, if she opened her mouth she didn't know if accusations or questions would fly out. -
Dr. Bertly smiled. “Well, that’s okay.” She said as she fixed her glasses.
“Doctor Bertly was working on a breakthrough. A sort of ‘miracle drug’ to help combat all diseases. She’s been working on this since she was about fourteen years old. A few years ago she thought she had it down pat, and tested in on a few people.” Wilson said.
“But that’s when it went haywire. My plan was to help mutate cells to make them stronger and combat against any sicknesses, and to an extent it did just that, but…” She looked down. “The mutation in the cells turned out differently than I had hoped, as did the serum. It almost..became ‘aware’. The cells adapted in such a way that they were completely able to rewrite peoples’ DNA and give them superhuman abilities in more ways than one. For example, Daniel, you were shocked by electricity while trying to save someone while exposed to the drug. Which in turn lead to you’re electrical powers. But the drug rewrites your DNA in more ways than one. Once it enters your body, it knows everything about you. Alice for instance, you’re animalistic powers came your love from animals. And as for the rest of you, you’re mutations came from whatever the serum thought was best suited for your survival.”
“We recruited Dr.Bertly soon after her first experiments took place.” Wilson said “we were faced with powerful enemies that we couldn’t stop, and Superhumans were what we thought were the best line of defense. More test subjects volunteered but that’s when the explosion at the lab happened that affected the city.”
“That doesn’t explain why most of peoples families are gone, including mine.” Danny said.
“Too many people got infected with something that they didn’t understand, that they couldn’t control. We had to protect the uninflected.” Wilson said.
“You’re all like this because of me, and for that I’m truly sorry. But there are other people like you still out there, some of which who can’t control their powers, and with that lunatic out there with the technology to hunt them down, they might not be able to learn to control them, or even live long enough for me to find a cure. Please help us” Bertly begged.
Danny was silent, not knowing what to say. He turned to his friends. “Give us time to discuss this.”
They were led into a room by an agent who closed the door behind them.
