Akumu collapsed into a writhing puddle of darkness as Yume hunched over with his hands over his ears in pain -
Adonis took a step back and almost fell over while trying to cover her ears from the awful screeching noise. Every molecule in her body wanted desperately to open a portal away from there, but she didn't want to leave her friends behind and she certainly couldn't take them all.

Danny covered his ears and fell to the ground, as did Coppen and the agents. Danny tried to open his eyes, but barely could, that’s how powerful the sound was, he tried to move as fast as he could, but the sound grew more ear piercing the quicker he moved.

Angel's throat soon strained and she stopped singing. She could no longer talk but she saw everyone was on the floor in pain and decided to use this opportunity to get the heck out of dodge. She ran to a window and intended to jump out and fly away. Alice got up and tried to stop her despite still recovering. Unfortunately, she was too late and all she got was a piece of her dress. Angel was gone.

Yume made a pained sound when the noise stopped and tried to stand up, only to fall over. He decided to just stay on tge floor while he waited for his ears to stop ringing

Adonis sat is astonished silence. Her ears were still ringing. She supposed they should try to go after Angel, but she needed a second to recover. "Is everyone okay?" She asked after a few minutes.

Danny slowly stood up and tried to gain his balance. “Aside from the inside of my head being mentally scarred and mashed potatoes, I’m peachy.” He looked around and saw no sign of Angel. “Gone. Great.”
“ I’m sure we’ll find her at some point. Just keep an eye out. For now, you guys should get some rest.” Coppen said. We’ll be in contact with you again shortly. Just, when you’re done resting, try to find lead on that icy guy.”
Danny nodded and Coppen and the NEST agents took off.

Hours later, news broke everywhere of people recovering from trances and hypnotic states after viewing a local performance. The report said it was unknown what caused it, and the performer is nowhere in sight to respond on the matter
Frost was in his place watching the news. “So that girl thinks she can not only turn down my offer, but she also can be the talk of the town too? No matter. There’s only room in this town for one baddie. I’ll show them. I’ll show ALL of them. Then EVERYONE will know who I am and treat me as I should be.” He conjured up a large thick icicle and whipped it at his television, puncturing it. -
Alice shouted "ALL I GOT WAS HER DRESS! SORRY I WASN'T ABLE TO CATCH HER!" The reason she was even shouting in the first place was because her ears were the most sensitive and she stood the closest to Angel when she used the screech.

Yume flinched at the shouting before looking for his brother, shouting in alarm when he say a puddle of darkness sitting still on the ground

Adonis grimaced as she heard Alice's and Yume's shouting. "It's gonna be alright Danny and Alice. We tried our best, we'll get her next time." She addressed firstly before checking on Yume and Akumu. "Oh my.. Akumu are you okay? You didn't encounter any big light sources, did you?" She bent down and poked at the dark puddle worryingly.

Danny nodded at Adonis. “Yeah, you’re right.” He said quietly. He was still in shock and discomfort over the experience he had with Angel, and not being able to control his body, but he buried those thoughts in his mind, and made his way over to Akumu and winced “You okay bud?”

Alice looked at Akumu and shouted "ARE YOU OKAY, BRO? THAT NOTE WAS REALLY LOUD. I SHOULD KNOW. I CAN BARELY HEAR ANYTHING."

Yume flinched again at Alice "Alice hun your shouting" he said, sounding annoyed and worried. When Adonis poked at Akumu he clung to her hand, slowly creaping up her arm and then just staying there

Adonis cringed with surprise when Akumu crept up her arm. "I think this means he's okay, he might just be too tired to go into human form right now," Adonis theorized. Atleast, that's what she hoped. She stood up. "We need to recovene. This isn't exactly the best place to talk," Adonis said, motioning around at Angel's room.

“Agreed. We’ll meet back at the warehouse. I just gotta go to my apartment. I feel.... dirty.” Danny bolted out of Angel’s house as fast as he could.
