Akumu groaned as he woke up to his alarm going off, opening his eyes to glare at it before rolling out of bed and getting to his feet. He sighed quietly and smiled to himself as he remembered what today was, walking over to his dresser and pulling some clothes out. He went to the bathroom and took a quick shower and got dressed before heading to the kitchen to eat
Yume hummed happily as he cooked breakfast, having woken up a few hours before his foster family to get ready for graduation. He smiled as he finished making the crepes, putting some of them in a container for his twin and his friends before leaving the house to head to school -
Adonis was well past awake, having set her alarm at 6, though she woke up at around 5:30 due to her internal clock. Her clothes were neatly folded, her things were in boxes, ready to transferred to an apartment that she'd be staying in for atleast four months thanks to her down payment, but rent after that was gonna be up on what job or college she went to.
Her parents have insisted that she stay with them for a few more years, but that wasn't part of Adonis's plan. Everything started with her getting that diploma.. speaking of which, she needed to go to her graduation soon. She decided that she would skip breakfast, because as much as she didn't want to admit it, Adonis was nervous.. and it was mostly for her future.
She grabbed her things as she went outside to hop on her motorcycle. Yes, a motorcycle. Adonis figured that cars costed way more and a motorcycle could get the job done just as easily. From point A to B. She wondered what her group friends were up to as she glided along the roads, her hair blowing past her shoulders. Adonis would especially miss Alice, they had been friends for as long as she could remember. -
Danny finished his breakfast and walked back upstairs to get ready. He spent a lot of time in the shower, still trying to process everything. He spent maybe too much time in there, almost a full half hour. It was 8 a.m. and he had to be at the school's auditorium for graduation at least a half hour prior to actual graduation, which began at 10:30, really only giving him a full hour to himself to get ready. He knew that his mom would take a long time to get ready, so after his shower, he sat on his toiler with his towel wrapped around his waist, and reminisced about this past year. It was surreal. Academically, it was relatively simple, a few projects here and there, but this year gave him a lot of free range independence-wise. But Danny still put all his effort into school, trying not to get "senioritis".
Danny finally stood up and began dressing himself, putting deodorant, and his dress pants, white dress shirt, and a nice red and grey tie that his father had given him. He made sure his hair looked nice, too, which Danny took VERY SERIOUS. He stepped out of his bathroom, and sat in the living room with his dad. His dad chuckled.
"Stand up. boy."
Danny stood up and walked over to his dad. His dad grabbed Danny's tie, and straightened it out for his son. Danny smiled.
"18 years, and you're still fixing my ties, huh dad?"
Danny's dad laughed, the scoffed jokingly. "Please," he said. "This is the LAST thing I'm helping you with." he said laughing. Danny laughed too. His dad worked on his tie for quite some time. "Geez son, how can you live on your own if you can't tie your own ties?"
Danny chuckled. "I'll manage somehow. Who knows, maybe one day, I'll find someone who will do it for me. I mean, mom did that for you, right?"
Danny's dad smiled and nodded. After his tie was fixed, Danny's dad patted his arms and the two sat down, waiting for Danny's mom. By this time it was already 9:15. by 9:30, Danny, his parents and his sister all piled into their car, and headed towards the high school. -
Alice brushed her hair as straight as possible and put on her dress. She then walked out and down the stairs to the kitchen. Her mom made some eggs and biscuits for breakfast. As her family sat down and ate, they all talked about what she would do now. Alice wasn't really sure whether to be a biologist or a farmer like her dad but no matter what, she wanted to work with animals. Eventually, she finished breakfast and both her parents drove her to school in her dad's rusty truck.

Akumu smiled faintly when he saw his foster family waiting for him in the kitchen "Goodmorning Akumu, ready for your big day?" is foster mother asked cheerfully, getting a nod in response "yes, i believe i have everything i need,"Akumu said, "and my brother said he would bring crepes to school, so i shouldnt need to eat anything" the woman nodded with a smile and his foster father grinned "well in that case, lets head out" he said before the trio headed out to the car and got in, quickly heading to tge school
Yume hummed happily as he soon arived at the school, only living a block or so away so it wasnt a long walk. He looked around to see if he could spot any of his friends or his brother, before sitting down to wait for them -
Adonis reached the school. She was a little early, so she parked her motorcycle and walked up to the drink machine. Her mom called her, so Adonis picked up as she put the coins in the machine. Her heeled sandals made her even taller than normal, it made her feel like an awkward lumbering giant. "Hi, mom!" Adonis said, reaching into the machine and pulling out a Dr Pepper. "Yeah, I'm here, they haven't started the ceremony yet. Did you guys find good seats?" She asked as she took a sip from the soda. Adonis listened to her mom speak for a while, nodding and replying with mixtures of "yeah, okay, alright," as her mom stated how proud she was and how she would miss her. "Okay, mom, I gotta go, I think I see Danny," She said, "I love you to," Adonis smiled and hung up. She signaled at Danny and his folks by waving wildly.

(OKAy- wow that was a huge mistake. Change "mom" to "dad" please, Adonis's mom passed away years ago)
-
Danny walked up to Adonis and hugged her.
"You look great. Taller than usual." Danny said chuckling. Danny knew that Adonis was already taller than everyone else, towering at 6'0'', just a few inches taller than Danny, who was 5'10''. Danny chuckled to himself as he reminisced about the past again. Danny knew 2 of his friends since, well, forever. Since 2nd grade. Danny was new, and Adonis and Yume were the only people that really accepted him. Akumus was friendly towards him too, but was always quiet. He had met Alice later when she was 12, and Danny really liked her. Like, REALLY liked her. But, he valued their friendship so stayed quiet. These were the only friends Danny had. The thought of losing them frightened him, but he didn't want to worry about the future, he didn't want it to make him sad. He was here now with one friend, and that was all that mattered, and his other friends were coming soon! -
(also did someone say that they were C2? C2's character's dad is the own who owns the genetic research lab)
-
(I was about to ask you about that.)
(Do I smell an almost love triangle with Alice, Danny and Adonis?)
Soon Alice made it with both her parents. She walked inside and her folks went into the auditorium where the ceremony would take place. She soon saw Danny and Adonis talking to each other. She ran to them and said "Hey, ya wee lads, don't be startin the gab fest without me. I want to enjoy the last time we see each other." -
Akumu smiled as he arived at the school and spotted his twin waiting for him. He quickly got out of the car and waved to his foster parents before quickly heading over to Yume.
Yume grinned when he saw Akumu and set the crepes down before darting at his brother and tackling him while shouting "Kumi!" Akumu grunted softly as he was tackled but managed to not fall over this time, hugging Yume back. "Hello brother" he said with a smile "we should head inside and meet up with our friends." Yume quickly nodded and grabbed his box of crepes before pulling Akumu inside, shouting a greeting when he saw his friends -
"Thanks, I wanted to go for flats, but it wasn't really my style," Adonis replied to Danny with a smile. When Alice ran up to them, Adonis gave her a big hug. "We better keep in touch, no way am I letting this be the last time I'll see you guys," Adonis said to them with a chuckle, just as Yume and Akumu came in and shouted a greeting. She waved them over, and took some pictures of everyone. Their schedules didn't always match up, so Adonis enjoyed that they could all be together in one place. She didn't want to think about what would happen to their friendship after graduation, it'd make Adonis feel too sad and bittersweet.

(Tbh I can make the genetic lab just a random one. It didn't really matter who's character's dad's lab it was, all that really plays a part in the story is the lab itself, so I can make it a rando one if everyone's cool with that.)
When a chaperone came over and interrupted the group, Danny took that as the signal to split up for now. The graduation ceremony was about to begin. Danny smiled at his friends.
"See you all on the other side." He departed form his friends for the most part, except for Adonis really, who sat relatively close to him for the ceremony, because everyone was in alphabetical order. Their graduating class size was fair, with around 300 people in it. The speeches from the principal and the valedictorians seemed to drag on FOREVER, which made Danny glad that he was towards the front of the alphabet, so he could walk up, shake the principal's hand, and receive the diploma. But, there were a few problems.
1) the students don't REALLY get their diplomas right away, they get thouse at the very end of the ceremony.
2) Danny had t sit right back down anyway, and wait for the other names to get called.
It was all worth it though. Finally, to be out of high school. No more having to deal with Butch Summers, an annoying, popular kid that always found a way to pick on Danny somehow. Thank God. Danny thought to himself. Finally, names started to be called, and after about 16 kids, Danny was able to walk up and receive the "Diploma". Almost done he thought. I wonder how the others are holding up? -
(If Kat's okay with it, it could be Adonis. With her backstory, It could make sense.)
Alice sat there, trying not to fidget. David and Adonis' last names both started with B and while she wasn't too far behind them but there were a lot of student graduating and she felt she couldn't stay still for that long. The ones she worried about the most were Akumu and Yume. Their last names started with a Y, so they'll be sitting there the longest. She soon got her name called and she got her diploma. -
Yume giggled and happily posed for Adonis' pictures, even getting his brother to join in before the chaperone arrived. After they sat down Yume started fidgeting, not liking having to sit down for so lomg while his brother sat calmly next to him, watching Yume in amusement. After what seemed like eons they got called up one at a time to go get their Diplomas before going to sit back down
