Arwyn nodded as Gineye told the story. She could tell that he got uncomfortable with the topic of his mask, so she didn't ask anymore about it. "Wow, that's pretty cool! Hey, as long as we're sharing backstories, why not tell us more about yours, Avalon?" Arwyn asked. "Excuse me if it's too intrusive, but I'm quite curious. Nagas usually keep to themselves."
Giggling and echoing laughter could be heard across the forest in response to Sin calling out the creatures that had followed them. Finn's magic had been boosted, he could feel his power more freely and coursely flowing through him. "We don't want a fight, but we will fight!" Someone said, copying Sin's words exactly in a mocking tone. They appeared from the shadows, revealing themselves, but they were an exact image of Sin, except their eyes were pitch black. "A doppelganger," Finn whispered to Sin in alarm. One came from behind them too, one that looked like Finn. -
Avalon said "No it's fine. I'll tell you. I just grew up in a small village of other nagas. I usually spend a lot of my time fishing in a nearby river. And one day when I was fishing, I met the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. Her name was Lenore and she was a mermaid." Avalon had hoped they would believe him as he figured most people had never seen a mermaid.

Gineye blinked and looked at him curiously "a mermaid?" he asked, tilting his head slightly before he looked in the direction the other two had gone. He frowned slightly before he patted himself on the chest, casting haste on himself, and took off into the trees

Sin sighed, as they ripped off their eyepatch.
“ picking on a couple of little kids...that’s so lame.” Greed huffed as they stole the heart of Sin’s dopple.
“ ew it’s squishy.” They complained to Finn.
“ hey! Finn, do you want this heart?” Greed asked. -
"A mermaid, huh? I've heard of sirens, but mermaids.." Arwyn trailed off. "Hmm, well, I suppose it's not so hard to believe," she stated with finality, deciding that it was probably true. Arwyn tensed when Gineye looked towards the trees, but then he ran off. "And then there were two," she said.
(Oi, roboticlus, remember when you said that Sin shouldn't die because they were adorable 😂😂)
Finn dropped Sin's hand and quickly took a step back. "Wh-Who's out now?" He asked them, ignoring the heart and trying not to pass out from the sight. Behind him, Finn's doppelganger smiled, and his black eyes turned into normal ones. "Wh-who's out now?" DoppelFinn asked, matching Finn's voice perfectly. Another doppel of Finn stepped out from the trees, then another, then another. Darn! How many of those pesky shapeshifters were there? -
(Well I meant the real Sin.)
Avalon was relieved that she believed him. He said "Yes, a mermaid. And she was the most beautiful one I'd ever seen. And she seemed to think the same of me because she asked me to meet her everyday at that river. And we dated for a bout a year. That's when we got married" -
Gineye soon arived at sin and finns location, blinking in confusion at all of the dopple gangers "ok what the f--- " he said simply

Greed started to run around snatching hearts at a slower rate than normal, due to still being weakened.

"Aw, a mermaid wife!" Arwyn exclaimed. "Why, that sounds like a beautiful love story.. I don't want to imagine how this could possibly lead to you ending up here," Arwyn said with a frown.
"I think it's a tribe of doppelgangers," Finn warned Gineye when he arrived. One of the Finns grabbed Finn and they began a skirmish. Another Finn appeared and held down the real Finn. He kicked at them. He was trying to obstain from using magic, his fire would kill everyone, even his allies, if he was panicked like this. Soon it became unclear which was the real Finn and which wasn't. There were atleast 10 Finns, 3 Sins, and now even 2 Gineyes, all doppelgangers.
The doppelgangers of Finn quickly went down to 5 when Greed plunged into their chests and snatched their hearts. These were the doppels who weren't part of the big Finn fight though. As their hearts were turned out, the doppels melted into a black goo, signaling their demise. "Hey, let me go!" One of the Finns said. "I don't wanna fight!" Another said. They seemed to be latching on to Finn's personality type. -
Avalon smiled thinking about it and said "Yeah. It was a beautiful life." His smile then became a frown and he continued "I won't tell you the rest of the story unless you really want me to."

Gineye stared at the fight for a few moments before ye sighed and formed a crossbow "one big problem with dopplegangers. They cant mimic somebody's soul" he said before he started shooting

Lust sighed as they shape shifted their arms into tentacle and started ripping doppelgängers apart. They, like Gineye, could see certain signatures, which allowed hem to tell these monsters apart from their new friend.
Greed had cleared everything up, so Lust would handle the rest.

"Of course I want you to, that's why I asked about it," Arwyn said, nodding. "I can probably guess what'll happen next because of your expression though," she said grimly. "How did she...?"
The real Finn ducked for cover. It seemed that Gineye and Sin could tell which ones were fake, and were quickly killing them off, but that didn't make the image of seeing yourself die over and over again pleasant at all. The doppelgangers began to retreat, they knew this was an enemy not to be messed with. -
Avalon continued "Well, about 9 months after getting married, Lenore came to me one day and she told me I was gonna be a father." A tear rolled down Avalon's face and his voice began to break as he said "Then about 5 days later, a different mermaid came and informed me she was attacked by a shark. She died before anyone could help."

Gineye growled as the doppelgangers fled before he turned to look at finn and sin "you two alright?" he asked, sounding worried
