Alex followed, his legs wobbling. He had this terrible feeling in his stomach, but he didn't care. He just followed Nia, an arm on her shoulder

Nia blushed at the arm on her shoulder as she opened her locker. "Does this mean we're together now?" She asked hopefully and excitedly.

"Mayyybe. Although we are brother and sister, so we're gonna have to figure it out" Alex slurred as he kissed Nia on the cheek

Nia blushed brightly and giggled. "Did you know that royal families would marry to their cousins or siblings to keep the royal bloodline alive?" Nia asked as she closed her locker. "Then again, we are step siblings, not blood, so it's a very grey area." She added before turning to him.

Alex shrugged, and placed his head on Nia's shoulder. "Well, does it really matter?" He said, staring into her eyes

Nia chuckled and blushed. "I don't know, but I suppose we could work it out later. We have to go costume shopping." Nia cheered, feeling giddy and excited.

Alex took her hand, and led her home.

"Aren't we buying costumes?" She asked when she noticed they were on their way home.

"Yeah, but we have to get something forst"

"Alright, what is it?" Nia asked, enjoying how her hand fit perfectly in his.

"Just a change of clothes" Alex said as he began to run, tightening his grip

Nia chuckled as she attempted to match his speed. "Looks like I've done a better job loosening you up than I thought." She chuckled.

Once they arrived, Alex bowed at Mother, ten raced to his room. He then searched his dresser

"You and Alex seem cheerful." Mother noticed as Alex sped off. "Yeah, I finally found an activity we're both passionate about." Nia cheered. "Oh? What might that be?" Her mother asked. "Role playing." Nia replied. It wasn't really a lie technically.

He finally found something suitable, and waited until Nia entered the room
