Alex did finger guns at her "Yup. We never talked much, did we Ava?"

Ava giggled, "No, not really, but you're a great guy." She smiled politely.

His smile turned genuine and bright, yet still small " You're a pretty cool girl from what I can tell"

Ava unintentionally batted her eyelashes. "Thanks," she said with a slight blush on her cheeks. She was easily flattered.

"Hey, we made it through school. Now we gotta make it through college" Alex said "Then we're home free"

"I suppose.." Ava sighed, looking up at Alex's eyes.

His eyes were a dark blue, and some specs of red in there.

Ava almost blurted out the fact that his eyes were admirably beautiful, but she stopped herself. After a minute of silence, she said, "You don't seem too excited about this party of yours."

Alex held up a finger to object, then lowered it "Yeah, I'm not. I don't like parties, let alone ones thrown by my parents. But they love me, and we're really excited about celebrating my graduation. So, I just have to stick it out"

"Understandable," said Ava. She bit her bottom lip.

Ava sighed again. "No offense, but this is kinda boring," she said.

"Yeah . You can leave if you want, but I gotta do this for 12+ hours" Alex said, turning away

"No," Ava placed her hand on Alex's shoulder. "I wanna stay." She was biting her lip harder now.

"You wanna be Co host?" Alex joked
