Ava could sense the scent of the food. She opened her eyes, groaning. "Whaa-?" she mumbled, looking at Alex.

"Party's over." Alex said as he put down the ramen for Charles, and handed Ava the plate

"How?" Ava was confused, so she pushed the plate aside. "N-not hungry.." She muttered. "How did I sleep that long?" She bit her lips, rubbing her eyes.

Alex shrugged "Must be sleepy" as he watched Charles eat the noodles

"Oh um, I apologize for just .. falling asleep on your bed," said Ava, forcing a smile. She blushed in embarrassment.

"It's fine. I don't mind, given that we've technically known each other since we were luttle" Alex smiled back, wondering how such a lazy cat could stay so thin

Ava nodded. "Mhm," She bit her bottom lip harder.
"Oh- I should probably go.." -
"No, it's fine. You can stay if you want" Alex said, focusing on Charles. He would never not he amazed at how fast that cat ate ramen

"Are you sure?" Ava asked, to reassure what she heard. She was surprised.
Also, mesmerized by a cat eating ramen. -
"Of course. I wanna hang out with SOMEONE before college" He nodded as he set down another bowl

Ava giggled a little, "I'm sorry that someone had to be me.." She finally stood up, stretching her arms.

"Well, I'm glad it's you. I'd rather spend it with someone I haven't talked to rather than someone I'm always by"

Ava shrugged her shoulders, "I guess you're right." she paused. "s---.." she said.

"What?"

"It's dark outside, and I don't have a way home," Ava admitted, without wanting to confess her fear of the dark.
