"You're not well." I chuckled, shaking my head at her.
-
I narrowed my eyes at her, "Are you saying I am mentally ill? That is, very mean." I sniffed loudly and wiped away a nonexistent tear, "Why must everyone assume such things about me?"
-
"Because we're all insane deary. Live with it. Embrace it." I chuckled, turning to face her with a teasing grin. However looking in her eyes suddenly caused a funny feeling in my chest, so I turned around and shook myself out of it. "Keep looking for markings." I told her.
-
I nodded and scanned the walls and floor, "If I fall down a trap door and get stuck in a room with no way out, please, avenge me." I said seriously, double checking a spot on the floor where I thought I saw something.
-
"Who exactly would I avenge you against?" I asked with a smirk as I checked the walls. "I hear it's common for people at this school to go missing." I added, sounding serious but in reality I was making this up to scare her.
-
"You would avenge me against the school, you would have to destroy it." I answered. Her statement peaked my interest and I looked at her, "Really? Is anyone looking into that? It could be a serial killer... they wouldn't let people disappear without investigating it, right?" I asked and then gasped as a thought occurred to me, "What if the school is a trap and the teachers are killing the kids?!" I said, working myself up, and possibly panicking a tiny bit.
-
"Well then I don't think a ghost would choose a classroom here as their favourite place if that were the case." I chuckled, smirking as I enjoyed her reaction.
-
"But what if they didn't knooooooooow? And what if they were murdered in that classroom?" I gasped again, "What if that's the real reason the room is blocked off?"
-
Now I couldn't help but burst into laughter at her panic.
-
"Why are you laughing? This is serious busine-" I cut myself off and narrowed my eyes at her, "Were you lying to me? You were lying to me, weren't you?" I grabbed her shoulders and shook her, "Why would you do that? I was legitimately worried this was a murder school! I trusted you, and you lied to me!" I stopped shaking her and looked at her with a genuinely betrayed look in my eyes, "That was really mean." I said, sounding honestly upset about it, though in truth I was just annoyed and a bit angry. But she didn't need to know that.
-
I felt my cheeks heat up and giggled as she shook me. "Aw, you figured it out. So clever." I teased with a grin. "Payback little mouse." She whispered in the girl's ear. "For threatening to kill me." She added before bursting into laughter.
-
"Mouse?" I asked, having no idea in what way I resembled a mouse. I then sighed, "I guess I deserved that, but I will not go down that easy!" I said and pumped my fist in the air, "I will not let you best me!" I was determined not to lose, though I had no idea how I would win.
-
"Mhmm, and how are you going to do that?" I hummed, feeling a competitive fire in my soul. Normally I tried to avoid competition, but something about her made the idea of it fun.
-
"I can't tell you! Then you'd be able to stop me!" I said, as I thought about ways to get back at her. "Though I promise I won't kill you, how would I rub it in your face if you were dead?"
-
I rolled my eyes at her and chuckled. "Alright little mouse, let the games begin." She chuckled. Mouse was a nickname in vampire nature that one would call someone who was cute or charming but mischievous, sneaky, or cunning behind that. It is normally used as a tease name with friends, or one used with family with the same meaning as Brat. Sometimes though, it could be used as a nickname for the submissive one in a relationship. However she assured herself that wasn't the version she was using.
