I played with my fingers and jumped slightly when I heard my phone vibrate in the girl's hand. Knowing to was a text from my father, since no one else would text me, I wanted to grab it out of the girl's hand so she wouldn't have a chance to see the probably vulgar text but decided not to draw attention to the message hoping that the girl would also ignore it.
-
Now, being the nosy girl I was and being curious about Noir's life, I Of course clicked on the text that said Father. I read the text, curious of what the girl was so nervous about.
-
I looked over at her and flinched slightly when she saw her tap on the screen but didn't say anything. I shifted and pushed my body on the bed a little more.
-
(What does the text say?)
-
Idk I didn't think about that XD Just make something up?))
-
Father: Where are you!?! Come home right now, or it will be the dogs telling you to stay home.
I frowned at the message, turning to her. "Doesn't he know you need volunteer hours to graduate?" I asked, scrolling up the phone to read what other text he had sent. My eyes opened in surprise and I looked at the girl in curiousity, now knowing where the scars came from. -
I laughed lightly, "Yeah, he just uh, doesn't really get it..." I reached out and gently grabbed onto the edge of the phone and tugged in it lightly, silently asking to have it back. I looked up at her and seeing the look I was getting I looked away in shame.
-
I let go of the phone and smiled at the girl. "I never really liked my parents. They mean well, but they are never around when I really need them. I needed to get cancer just so they would talk to me." I sighed, chuckling at myself.
-
I hid the phone in my pocket and listened to the girl talks, "My parents never cared about us, they are always wrapped up in their own things." I said with a small chuckle, "Flaky, never around." I said with a shrug.
-
"Yeah. Who am I to complain." I sighed. This girl's problems were so much bigger than mine... Het I made up this giant evil scheme and she's so innocent and naive... "Why Don't you talk to children's Aide about your father?" I asked, trying to help.
-
"You have every right to complain." I said holding my hands up in a mock surrender like fashion. I stretched my arms up above my head and heard a few cracks then relaxed again, "Our-um My case workers really busy, she has more important cases. She hasn't been around in... Five years? Maybe longer?" I explained with a small laugh, "It's not a big deal please don't worry about it."
-
"Alright." I replied. I didn't want the girl to feel guilty over me. "I apologize for being nosy. I like to know everything that goes on around me. Even when it's really none of my buisness." I chuckled, smiling at her.
-
"Eh, don't worry about it." I spoke quietly, "Its not a big deal." I basically whispered looking up at her from my eyelashes. "Its not something I talk about... ever really." She said with a small laugh
-
"I understand." I replied, a reassuring smile on my face. "Let's talk about something else then." I offered. "What kind of movies do you like?" I asked, smiling as I got an idea.
-
I nodded slightly, "I um have a little thing for romcom's, the cheesier the better." She said with a small laugh. "But I don't tend to watch too many movies."
