Kiba shrieked more and kept thrashing for a few minutes before stoping out of exhaustion.She then closed her eyes as she felt herself being pulled in.

Xever finally reeled in the catch. He saw the tail, grabbed it and pulled it out of the water. He was expecting a large fish, but instead he saw something he'd never seen before.

Kiba opened her eyes,gasping once she was out of the water.She then saw the male in front of her and her eyes turned pitch black,her lips pulling back into a snarl as her sharp fangs bared.She then started thrashing and tried to get back into the ocean.

Xever was about to go into threatened mode but he restrained it and said "Wait!" and he removed his hook from the girl's tail. He then said "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to catch you."

Kiba kept fighting against him for a moment before slowly calming down,her eyes turning back to normal.She looked at him warily and then at the ground"It's okay......"She shyly said.

Xever asked "If you don't mind me asking, who and what are you?"

"My name's Kiba and well.....I'm a mermaid.."Kiba said softly as looked back at the ocean.She then started coughing from the lack of water.

Xever asked "Are you okay?"

"W-Water...."Kiba gasped out as her tail moved back and forth until she was on her stomach.

Xever pushed her back into the water to help her out.

Kiba then poked her head back up as she smiled softly"Thank you and I never got your name"

"My name is Xever, Prince of the Nagas." he answered.

Kiba smiled"Nice to meet you,Xever.I'm also a Princess of the merfolk."

Xever said "Oh really. Are the rest of these merfolk anything like you?"

"A lot of us have different colored tails and appearances but we all are the same species,fins and all."Kiba said as she rested on the sand,her tail raised up"What about you?"
