"I'm sorry" he said "I'm just... Concerned" Dan told Recata as a nurse walked in "Hello Mrs how are you feeling now that your awake?" she asked

"Alright" she told the human nurse

"That's great then you'll be discharged in an hour or so other than that just no big exercises for a while and keep your stitches dry ill hand you some plastic pads to protect the water ground opening it if you wanna take a shower" The nurse said handing them to Dan as she disconnected the IV and monitors

Recata nodded like she understood but she didn't . She was a mermaid , born to be in water

"You can get the stitches wet after 48 hours and you'll be fine" the nurse left "wanna buy some clothes for you at the shop they have?" Dan asked

"Sure" said Recata attempting to get up and collapsing.

"Whoa watch out Recata here ill help you"he said grabbing her arm over his shoulders waiting for her to get up again

Recata slowly got up with his help

"Okay lets walk around the room for a bit but slowly" he said

Recata attempted to walk but limped .

"Your doing good Recata just slowly add a little pressure as we go" Dan said he knew how it felt to have a hurt leg

REcata winced as they went farther . She wanted to just jump in the water

"Do mermaids have powers?" he wanted to distract her from the pain

"Yes" she muttered

"What's you power? And do any of them have healing" Dan wondered what his power was if he had one
