So c1 (me) is a young girl who is a bookworm in the 6 grade and really smart and kind but not popular and c2 is a popular boy who moves to the school and is shown around by c1 . This is a mini romance
And stuff . c3 is a popular girl trying to break them apart and c4 is c1 best friend -
Can I rephrase that plot to put in more detail?

C1, a grade 6 students obsessed with school work and books, takes an interest in C2. C2 is a new boy at school who instantly becomes popular! Being shown around by C1, C2 grows feelings for her. And tries to convince C1 to feel the same way. C4, C1's equally School obsessed friend, doesn't believe having a boyfriend is a good idea. So she tries to keep C1's attention on what's important. And is even risking making deals with C3, a popular girl who has a crush on C2, to sabotage C2's plains to date C1. Will C1 give in to her crush? -

Not necessarily. I'm not my character. I just give them life. But they have a different mind set than me. Because they've experienced different things than I have.
