Riley asked her father if she could give her friends breakfast. He handed her six cheese slices, three packages of pop tarts, and strips of gum to slide under the door. Riley sighed, a bit annoyed as she slid the 'food' under the door. "That's all my dad allows me to give you for breakfast." Riley told them, returning to her room. She continued to draw the house and felt tears roll off her cheeks and onto the paper as she wondered if she was a bad person.
-
Genesis frowned at the food "ok, i have half the mind to kick the damed door down.
-
Kendra nodded, eating a pop tart. It was a little stale, but otherwise good. "But you have your apples." She told him, gesturing to the large box of apples.
-
He shrugged and grabbed an apple to eat

Riley wiped the tears off her face. She sighed and decided to read a book. "Some nights, I stay up cashing in my bad luck. Some nights I call it a draw." She sang. "Some nights I feel like my lips could build a castle! Some nights I wish they'd just fall off! But I still wake up, I still see my ghost. Oh lord I'm still not sure what I stand for. What do I stand for?" She sang. "What do I stand for..." She whispered, pausing.
Kendra heard the singing and crawled out of the closet. She sat under the vent as the song paused. After awhile, she sang into the vent. "Most nights... I don't know... Anymore." She whispered. Kendra smiled and sang a little louder, standing up. "This is it guys, this is war! Common what are we waiting for? Why don't we break the rules already?" She sang. -
(Yes. I made this a musical scene. LOL!)
-
Genesis laughed softly at them
-
Riley smiled as she heard Kendra sing. "I try twice as hard and I'm half as liked, but here they come again to jack my style
And that's alright; I found a martyr in my bed tonight
She stops my bones from wondering just who I am, Oh..." Riley sang. She paused, walked to the vent and sang clearer. "Some nights I wish that this all would end... Cause I could really use some friends for a change." She sang.
Kendra smiled and sat down again. "Some nights I'm scared she'll forget me again, some nights a feel I always win." Kendra sang, thinking of her mom. "But I still wake up. I still see her ghost. And Lord I'm still not sure where I stand for. What do I stand for? Who do I stand for? Most nights, I don't know... Anymore." Kendra sang. -

Corki rolled her eyes, and continued day dreaming.
