"That's great but even if everyone in town is a descendent of Baxter, do we just pick a person and murder them?" Asked Kali. She was frowning. She hated it when she didn't have answers. She didn't understand the situation and it was progressing out of control.

"GOD DAMNIT WOMAN! I KEPT SAYING THE DESCENDANT OF SOMEONE WHO HELPED KILL BAXTER, NOT A DESCENDANT OF BAXTER!" lou screeched in frustration.

"Does it matter? You know what I meant! We can't just kill a person!" Kali hollered in retaliation.

"We're not going to kill them. we just need to, say, prick their finger with a pin and put the blood drop in a real circle!" lou explained calmly.

Kali took a deep breathe. She nodded before she said a word. "Well, let's look up who's a descendent of the mayor." Said kali as she sat down on the computer.

"i mean the ACTUAL mayor. the one who accused and ordered the killing of baxter was his ancestor." she grabbed some gear and called out their plan to the ghost. immediately the heavy aura faded and she dragged kali on the expedition.

"This is, like, an expedition to kill the president! Except it's worse because it's our hometown!" Complains Kali, but she continued to follow Lou.

lou slipped into the mayor's window silently and pricked his finger. he stirred but stayed still as she crawled back. until kali and her stepped on a loose board. he awoke with a jolt and screamed. luckily it was dark and lou ran.

Kali ran as well. She grabbed Lou's hand to make them both run faster and helped the other out when they fell. The mayor didn't keep pursuit and they slowed down when they got back to the house.

lou sighed and put the pin in the circle. "chant this. esaelp evael!"

"esaelp evael! esaelp evael! esaelp evael!" Kali repeated the chant over and over, closing her eyes and wishing they could just go back to the times when they were eating popcorn and drinking too much soda to care about anything. -

lou chanted it and waited silently, shaking slightly. she wanted it to end so she could watch some tv. -
I didn't even notice! 😂 I thought it was like some Latin phrase for, "escape evil" or something)
Kali stopped chanting when she didn't have the energy to chant anymore. Hopefully the ghost would go away. Suddenly, the room became still again, like a presence left. "Is it gone?" She whispered to herself, her eyes still closed. "I mean I felt it leave, but is it gone for good?" She asked Lou, looking to her for an answer when she didn't know it. -

lou shook her head. "i-i don't know. i-im getting some soda.." she ran downstairs.
