C1 has always felt like a slave. Being the heir to the throne after their father, they did not get to go out very much. Or at least when they did, they would always be surrounded by guards. They know this is for their protection, but having it always be like this, they don't feel free-or as free as they should feel. They don't really want to take over the throne as well. Having always dreamed of a life on the open sea, free as the air, guided by the stars and wind. Though all they've heard from the outside world mainly came from books they had, and some servants. So they aren't sure how it is on the outside either.

C2 is a thief, a pirate, murderer, among other things. They have a rather large bounty on their head from all the deeds they have done and crimes committed. They are adventure/action seekers. They are the ones who would laugh in the face of death, and head into a battle alone. Being a bit overconfident, but they believe they must be like this so the crew will trust and not fear as much.

On one day, C2 heard of a treasure worth a lot of gold being held within the castle that C1 is in. Wanting to see if it is real, and to get it for themselves, they decide to raid the castle in search of the item. Trying to draw as little attention as possible, of course.
When they return back to their ship, however, the treasure is not the only thing that is new to the ship. For when C1 had heard from some of the guards about pirates 'raiding' the castle, they knew this may be their chance to escape and find freedom from the castle, and see the outside world. So they quickly sneak past the guards and out of the castle to the pirates ship. Quickly hiding somewhere upon the vessel, hoping they are not found before it leaves dock.

And I guess, this may be good for now? For an idea, sort of. Eh?
