Archaios blinked in confusion and hr looked at her suspiciously, shifting his stance unconscious just in case he needed to run or fight "do I know you?

Lan wondered if she was mistaking, but... She couldn't be. She didn't want to say who she was, because that could be dangerous if she was wrong. So she walked away, taking out one of her old books and reading out loud, hoping if it was him he'd recognize her voice. She tried not to get noticed by the other girls and men in the celebration.

Archaios blinked and then then he tilted his head"wait....Lan?"

Lan stopped reading and turned around. She nodded and smiled, glad she wasn't mistaking.

Archaios walked closer to her, his feet making no sound against the ground"I didn't recognize you" he said honestly

"Have I changed?" She asked, noticing her features were a lot less plain. "So have you." She added. Though, technically their changes were different. She grew to look and act different from her true self. He had been trained to control and master his true self.

He nodded, crossing his arms "yeah, you have. Quite a bit actually

"I'm still a coward..." She laughed when she no longer had the courage to look in his eyes.

He chuckled softly"that's obvious" he said with a slight smirk before he tilted his head slightly and then he turned to look at a man with gray hair "oh look, he did show up. Good, bow I down need to search for him"

"Oh... You have a job to do! I should go then..." Lan whispered, heading back to her celebration.

He glanced at her for a moment before he slipped after the man, vanishing in to the crowd

Lan read one of her books, hiding it from her 'friends'. "Would you like to dance?" A man asked her. Lan felt a lot of fear. Most men gave her fear... Not as much fear as the fear Archaios gave her, but they still gave her fear.
"S-su-sure." She accepted. She fought the urge to run as she danced with the man. It was her job, she knew, to entertain men. She was good at it, but it made her feel so scared. She knew she would never be accepted if she didn't though, for the only thing she was accepted for was beauty.
She watched Archaios as she danced with and entertained men. -
Archaios jumped up on to a roof so he could keep an eye on his target and watch Lan at the same Time

Lan was careful to watch Archaios without looking at the roof. Otherwise she could give away his location. One of the men she danced with was getting too drunk and too excited... But she managed to keep calm.
She danced and chatted with the men, the drunk one was starting to get handsy... She felt fear build up inside her until he tried to undo her dress. Her fear grew so strong that she punched the man in the face! He fell to the floor, yelling and cursing. She screamed and cried at what she did as she got locked in her room.
