I'll start.
Lan ran out of the orphanage. She felt the anger build inside her. Lu and her equally mean friends tried to burn her books! She knew it was improper and weird for a girl to read... But she loved her books! And maybe it was out of line to throw their dolls in the fire in response...
But nethertheless! Rage built inside Lan's heart as the sun shined through the grey clouds and she plopped down on a bench. Next to an odd looking homeless boy. -
Archaios heard her coming and frowned slightly before he opened his eyes just a little bit to look at her. He blinked and opened his eyes fully"who are you?" He asked, his hand slipping down to where he kept a small dagger

Lan sighed, putting her only book down. "I'm Lan. I mean no harm... I just needed some air so I sat on this bench." She explained, seeing the dagger.

Archaios eyes her for a moment and then he nodded"alright" he said, moving his hand away from his dagger and closing his eyes again

She sighed nervously. It was pretty dangerous having no parents... No one cared about girls safety in China... So she was sent to the orphanage...
She picked up her book and read. She dreamed to become respected in this town! She read outloud because teaching herself to read was difficult. But now she read big books and big words well! She read outloud for what must have been the longest time. -
Archaios opened His eyes when he heard her reading and he watched her curiously out of the corner of his eye

After about an hour or two of sitting on the bench reading out loud, Lan saw the sun setting with a beautiful rosy color. She realised it would be dinner soon and closed her book. "I must be going!" She told herself.

Archaios sighed softly and he got up, turning slightly to look at her "I apologize, I never told you my name. I am Archaios Skotadi" he said before he started walking away

"Nice to meet you." She replied with a bow, skipping off to the orphanage.

Archaios smiled faintly and then he quickly climbed up on top of a building and sat down, looking up at the sku

The next day, Lan passed that bench again on her way to the library. She knew it would be selfish and sneaky... But perhaps she could ask for a library card without Miss. Pationa knowing. Once again, she saw Archaios sitting there.

Archaios hummed softly as he sharpened his dagger, lifting his gaze to look at Lan when he heard her footsteps. He nodded to her and looked back down at his knife, testing it's edge against his thumb

Lan shivered, seeing the boy's knife. But she nodded back and continued walking.
She walked back to the orphanage half an hour later, disappointed. She needed the permission of a guardian in order to have a Library card. Once again, she passed the bench and saw Archaios.
