Azalea nodded and grabbed his arm in a gentle manner, beginning to lead him inside as she glared at the ground before suddenly pulling him into her room, "I'm so sorry," she croaked, on the verge of tears.

Nigel put his hand on the princess' should and said "It's okay, I might get a better life now. All because you gave me those coins out of the goodness of your heart."

Azalea sobbed into her hands, her shoulders quivering, "For the cost of your freedom!" She whimpered before forcing herself to back away, looking down and sniffling.

Nigel didn't really know what to do, but he gave her a hug and said "Maybe so. But I think it's better to be a servant than to be hungry out in the street or rotting in a cell."

Azalea stifled another sob before pulling away, "I have a few rules.... Only use formal names when around my father, and ask and you shall receive..." She murmured, forcing a smile.

Nigel said "Understood. By the way, My name is Nigel. Nigel Gerald Astral."

Azalea smiled softly and curtsied politely in recognition, "Azalea. What do you like to do for fun? I'd like to accompany you and do what you enjoy in my spare time, if possible."

Nigel said "I haven't really done much other than sit at that corner hoping someone would get me coins for the past 10 years. I only other thing I did was bake bread for the other kids and only if the bakery let me."

Azalea thought for a moment, "Alright... What are you interested in? Music, reading, hunting, horseback riding?" She asked gently, looking up at him after smoothing her dress of imaginary wrinkles.

Nigel thought for a moment and said "I do enjoy music and drawing."

Azalea smiled, "I can hire an artist and teach you to play piano or violin if you wish. I know it may seem overwhelming, and I'm sorry... I'm simply trying to make sure you're comfortable."

Nigel said "To be honest, I'm practically comfortable already. I've lived on the streets for 10 years ever since my parents died. I had to worry about if I was going to live the next day, but being here is a vast improvement."

Azalea looked down, sighing, "Even upon being without a home, you had freedom. Even I don't have such a thing. I have lessons, courtship matters, and citizens to take care of. At least before you had a say in your own life."
