Zero growled at him as his eyes started glowing and the looked like he wanted to rip the man's head off
-
Gray opened the door to the passenger door and slid Zero into it, the camera people coming closer to them. She ran to her side and started the car, the cameras on her window, like zombies or something. She laughed and honked her horn, which made them back away. Gray stomped on the pedal and drove away towards the police station.
-
Zero blinked at he looked around the car and then he yelped in surprise when she honked the horn, looking around on fright
-
Gray rested her eyes on Zero, softening her look. "Don't worry, your other friends are at the station. We're just a bit late," She said to him, while also keeping her eyes on the road.
-
Zero relaxed slightly and he put his head on the door, looking out the window
-
Gray pulled in to the parking lot of the police station, the lights on and what sounded like a lot of commotion inside. She didn't expect anything less on a night like this. She opened her door before going to open Zero's.
-
Zero looked at the building as he got out the car
-
Gray opened the station door to find the children sitting down on the waiting chairs and the cops around them, deciding their fate. "We should sell them to rich people!" "Take 'em to the government!" And "Force them to work with us!" Was ringing through the room. Gray slammed her hand on the table, silencing everyone and causing them to look at her.
-
Zero hissed and he flared his wings aggressively as he glared at them
-
"Have you forgotten these are children?!" Gray asked the officers, guilting them. "We need to find them a home!" She said. "I like this one," one officer said sheepishly, pointing towards a little boy that resembled his dead son. "You know what - great idea! Each one of you adopt one!" Gray said triumphantly. The cops began breaking into arguments.
-
Zero tilted his head and then he jumped on top of a cabinet and he watched the other
-
Gray stomped her foot down, silencing them again. "The matter is settled! Stop complaining, grab a child, take them home, and nurture them!" She said. "No selling, no publicity! These are real children!" She said. The officers each started sighing, knowing they couldn't argue with her. They started choosing children and one by one they left, except the ones working the night shifts.
-
Zero curled up on top of the cabinet like a cat would and then he started preening his feathers
-
After the last of them collected out, Gray started looking for the child she had with her. She didn't even ask his name. "I have more candy," Gray said, pulling out her last piece.
-
He heard her and he jumped down to the ground, siting like a dog as he watched her hand holding the candy
