(Lol it's okay, I'm doing homework)
Elliot was about to continue speaking, but he froze when the angel's hands started to move towards his throat. He felt the other's warm fingers slip into the empty space in the collar. Instead of feeling scared, a blush took over his face, and he waited until Ariel removed his fingers to relax. He heard him mutter something, but he wasn't sure of exactly what he said. Reluctantly, he followed the older, wondering what he was going to get in the pet section.
He decided he'd have to finish his story, then, to keep himself occupied. "You asked earlier if I liked sweets, and I said I've never tried them. They look.. Interesting. I like cute things, so if you manage to make food look cute, I don't think I'd be able to eat it. I really like animals. Hmm.. I don't think there's much more for me to tell," Elliot sighed. "I don't know much of anything. Sorry if that's not interesting to you." -
Hah I should be doing that but I don't feel like it)
"So do you not want to eat meat, then?" The angel asked him. Ariel had encountered many vegetarians during his time on earth. They weren't such a rare breed, as they were many eons ago. Before, people would fish and hunt for survival. Now, though, people just had to take a drive to get their food. Science evolved. Meat was becoming less and less necessary. It made him sad to see the old times leave, but the evolution of the Earth was always interesting. Too bad no angel knew exactly when the Earth's destruction would come about- That was beyond any angel's jurisdiction. Especially his own, as a lowly messenger.
It was all very amusing to him. As an angel, he had nothing to worry about. Not death nor pain nor suffering. He was designed to have no need to be selfish, but that changed as the angels escaped from the other world into this one. Now, they felt pain, love and jealousy. They felt temptation at its strongest, and angels were weak to temptation. Lucifer and the fallen angels had proven that- indeed, they had. -
(You have tomorrow I guess
/shrugs)
"Oh, no! I like meat, I guess. I've had the same kind most of my life, but it was never cooked to taste good.." Elliot trailed off, thinking back to all of his meals. The auction owners spent as little as they could to keep them alive. He recalled other slaves announcing that the food there was "bland" or had "no flavor". He assumed that meat was supposed to taste much better than how he had eaten it. He wondered if Ariel was planning on making a meal that involved meat. He wanted to try it.
The purple haired boy looked down at the cart, examining its contents. None of the items in there were familiar to him. He hoped that Ariel would teach him about all of that, one day. Though that would probably not happen. The smaller boy was aware that he wasn't there to be a companion. He would probably be used for more degrading, vulgar acts. Possibly labor, or errand running. After all, Ariel hadn't adopted a child. He had bought a slave. Whatever Ariel desired, that's what Elliot would have to do or become. -
Yeah I plan on doing it when I get home tomorrow)
Ariel walked into the pet section, ordering the boy to stay outside of the isle and not to move. He quickly went in and out, as he had with the food section. He put the shock collar into the cart. "Don't worry," Ariel said, "That's just for insurance if you try to run away." Ariel said with a shrug. He had only actually used a shock collar a few times. Earlier on, he had liked to shock his slaves for the fun of it. However, he found that it stirred a bad reaction, just as it had spurred a bad reaction in himself when he had his fingers and toes cut off by fellow angels. Ariel cringe at the thought, a look of pain entering the stoic angel's expression. He quickly shook it off, regaining control of his body and of his emotions.
Ariel searched the store with his eyes for the registers. It didn't take him long, and pointed his slave in the direction of the registers. He walked slowly along side the cart as his slave pushed it, not saying much. He planned to get his slave a candy bar or two at the checkout line, but he kept that thought to himself. Ariel frowned at the fact there was only one register open; number six. How coincidental. -
(Where are you right now?)
Elliot was told strictly not to move by his owner. He obediently waited for him, leaning against the cart and watching the angel's quick paced movements. The human liked that about Ariel, and about angels in general. All of their movements were generally quick, but graceful. Few were clumsy like humans were. When Ariel returned with the collar, the human peered at it, wondering what it was. It was a shock collar, like ones that people put on dogs to keep them from barking. He wasn't sure whether or not he should worry about it. He was used to pain, because he was often hit and smacked around like a doll. He assumed a shock wouldn't hurt him much.
When he looked up, he realized that Ariel had a pained look on his face. However, Elliot blinked, and the expression was gone. He assumed that it was just his imagination that he had seen the fear in his eyes. An angel couldn't possibly be scared of anything, after all. When Ariel pointed to the register, Elliot placed one foot on the bottom half of the cart and he pushed his foot against the floor to start causing the cart to slide on its own. He felt like a cart expert, being able to move around with ease. He pulled it to a halt behind the person in front of them. -
(was in Florida. Now driving up home. Now in Georgia)
Ariel was shocked to recognize the angel in front of them. It was Uriel, one of the cruelest angels he knew; and one of the ones he was in debt to. The angel nibbled his lip, in clear worry. 'Goddamn this human emotion of anxiety,' The angel thought, 'How do they endure this torture!?' The angel felt like screaming about the feeling in his gut, the nervousness that made him want to pick up and run. But, just as he had feared, Uriel had turned around and saw him. The angel was medium skinned, full of muscle, and had dark, stringy hair. "Hello, Ariel~" He hummed. Ariel almost shook in fear as to what this angel could- and had- done to him. He remembered his bright, yellow eyes setting on him in the warehouse as he extracted tooth after tooth after tooth, despite the loud screams erupting his throat. Swallowing, Ariel said a small hello, wishing for the cashier to ring Uriel up quicker.
He was astounded that he had found an angel he knew. Only two cars were parked outside, none of which he recognized. How could this possibly be? He nibbled his lip a little more, his red eyes fogging out with thought. This was until the cashier, impatient, said "Sir, please take your things out of the cart so I can ring them up." Ariel nodded- wait, he was gone? The other angel was gone? Wha..? Shaking it off, Ariel began to set his things on the belt. -
(Oh what fun)
Elliot wasn't very worried about what was going on until he felt the waves of discomfort practically flowing from his owner. He looked up at Ariel, worried. The angel looked as if he was staring at a ghost, or something of the sort. Elliot figured it was the man in front of him. He was very good-looking, Elliot thought, just like Ariel. But something about him gave even the human chills. Perhaps it was his bright, cat-like eyes. But, the angel disappeared from his line of sight in the blink of an eye.
If Ariel was scared of another angel, Elliot thought he'd have to dislike them too. He didn't like the look in his owner's eyes. Assisting Ariel in putting the items on the belt, he asked, "Are you alright?" He decided that it wasn't his place to ask the angel why he was so worried. He just wanted to make sure that he could recover from whatever it was. And, if Elliot could help, he wanted to help. -
20 hour drive means I get to use up my sketchbook.. Which I literally got yesterday. Luckily it's got 50 sheets)
"Of course," The angel forced a light laugh as his warm tone spoke, "Just was surprised to see someone I knew here~" He smiled a little, looking down to the boy. He put the rest of the items on the belt, and the cashier scanned and bagged them. Within a few minutes, all of the items were bagged and paid for. Grabbing the bags on his own arms, he told the slave to put the cart away. He thanked the cashier, having no issue lifting the eight heavy bags, as he had four on each forearm. Of course a knight of God would be strong enough to carry a few measly bags. Ariel could carry much heavier things, much heavier weapondry. He hadn't the chance yet- but he was waiting for the day when the opportunity would bud in front of his child-like eyes.
Angels weren't supposed to feel ambition, that was something Lucifer had felt a bit too much for. And, in a way, Ariel felt guilty for feeling such an emotion. However, it was so joyous and motivating, he wondered how it could be a bad thing. Ariel waltzed out of the store doors, pulling the slave with him lightly. -
(lol sounds like fun. Are you in the car now?)
Elliot didn't believe that the angel was okay, but he didn't want to press matters further. He was afraid of bringing up an awful memory in Ariel's mind. He didn't want to be punished on his first night with the other boy. As soon as the process of bagging the items was over, he watched in amazement as Ariel picked them all up in his arms. He obeyed the command of putting the cart away, wondering if the angel felt the weight at all.
The purple haired boy followed his owner back to the car, glancing back at the store. He liked it, and all of its contents. Perhaps they would return to the store one day. As soon as they were at the car, Elliot took the liberty of opening the door himself for them both to go in; but then, he realized that perhaps the groceries might be better suited for the back of the car, where no one was sitting. He remembered the penguin, and asked, "Can I have the penguin, Ariel?" -
Yeah it's torture)
Ariel nodded, not minding the bother that it would be to grab the penguin out of a bag. He gave the boy the plush toy, then walked around the car to the trunk. Ariel opened it up, selectively placing every bag into the empty trunk. He slammed it shut and followed in the car after his slave. He slammed the door, like did most things. It didn't seem the angel knew exactly how strong he was- nor how to control that strength. He told the old woman that they would be going back to his home. It was a large flat in the heat of the city. The angel had chosen it because he liked the loud noise he had outside his door at all times- it made him feel at home again, with all the angels bickering and arguing. That idea made him smile a little.
"This is a bit of a long ride, twenty five, thirty minutes. You can take a nap if you want. I'm sure you're tired." When the angel had first reached Earth, he would have had no idea to say that. That necessity was out of his mind. However, as Ariel got more and more in tune with humans- he was learning a lot more about them. Bizarre creatures they were. -
(Don't worry I'll entertain you until I have took offline)
Elliot happily snuggled the toy, snuggling it in his arms. It was the size of a small pillow, perfect for cuddling. He giggled as he felt the slam of the trunk and the slam of the door rattle the car. The angel was very powerful, he assumed, and probably underestimated simple actions like closing doors. As he buckled himself up, he rest his chin on the penguin's head, closing his eyes. The soft hum of the car was relaxing.
When Ariel mentioned he could sleep, he relaxed, his hold on the penguin loosening. He was really tired. Seeing so much new stuff exhausted the human. Before he realized it, he had dozed off, and was in a pleasant sleep with his head resting on the toy. -
Alrightttyy ~)
Ariel sat up straight, crossing his arms around his chest. He gazed at the cityscape horizon; the sun was just beginning to come down. It was worldly beauty, sculpted by the heavens themselves. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Ariel was almost breathe less any time he saw the sky swallow the sun. Ariel smiled a little, remembering a bit of where he had grown up.
Heaven. A human's dream. He knew humans always asked angels what heaven was like, and if they would get there. Ariel had always shrugged, saying it was indescribable and he didn't know the future. The first? A lie. The second was truth. Heaven was what you made of it, he supposed. It was another world, just like Earth. Except there was no pain or sorrow, humans only experienced pleasant things. Angels, however, felt nothing. They merely felt the work they were assigned to do, and obeyed the orders they were given, to keep the peace. -
Elliot had a pleasant dream about taking Ariel to Antartica, to show him the penguins. They both had on giant, fluffy coats. It was white everywhere. He was pleased when they found the penguins- they got to watch then swim and waddle around. A small part of the human had hope that the two of them would become something more than slave and master. Perhaps friends, or even partners. As the sun set in his dream, he was aware that the other's hand was on his. He looked up at those pretty red eyes. And then.. And then--
The human snapped awake, worried. He hadn't expected the dream to go that far. And his neck was aching. Squirming a bit, Elliot sat up, yawning as he stretched out his limbs. He must have slept a lot, because the sun was close to setting. He looked at Ariel, wondering how he was feeling. He felt the penguin move, as if it were real. "Are we almost there?" -
f--- didn't see this either sorry)
Ariel hadn't realized the boy had spoken for a moment- he had grown quite used to the silence and was spacing out as he gazed out the window. "Oh, yes. Very close. You woke up just in time." Ariel said so very quietly, shooting another warm smile. But part of Ariel was still worried. If Uriel was in the area, that didn't mean well for himself. Either Uriel was mad, or he was going to be. Uriel didn't just show up and disappear for no reason. Uriel only left his home state, Hawaii, for extremely important matters- orders, revenge, or debt collecting. The rest could be taken out by the large amount of minions he had.
Ariel shook off the fear. It was probably nothing. Plenty of people owed the high ranking angel something or another. He was good of keeping track of such things. It was a coincidence, as the humans called it. Those things, apparently, happened quite often. And it was passed off as "fate" sometimes, as well. All were interesting concepts. As he thought about this, he gave his snow colored hair a few tugs, jolting himself back to reality. The limosine was in his driveway. "Thank you." He said, opening the door, getting out, and leaving it open for his slave. He made his way to the back, opening the trunk and quickly grabbing the items they had bought. -
(It's cool I've been doing stuff)
Elliot nodded at the other boy's response, looking out the window. The house looked larger than he had expected. He would have to get used to all of the expensive things that he'd get to see, being with Ariel. With another yawn, the small boy rubbed his eyes, starting to follow the angel out of the car.
He went to offer to help him, but the red eyed boy already had all of their bags in his hands. Cuddling the penguin, he closed the door behind himself, staring at April for instructions. He hoped that he would get to explore the angel's home. Everything was just so exciting for him that he couldn't help himself.
