(omg Ariel let me cuddle you, poor baby :c)
As soon as Ariel chimed out, the whole room burst into activity. Elliot's eyes widened as he heard the price climb. The pace slowed down around nine thousand, though- a rather scary looking man had called out for nine thousand and nine hundred. No one seemed to want to speak up. As far as Elliot knew, at this auction house, the average human sold for under five thousand. He was at an almost honoring price, though at other auctions, his price was nothing. He gulped as the seller looked around, asking, "Anyone for ten thousand?"
The poor human shuffled his feet, dropping his gaze. He was worried that the scary looking angel would win. He wasn't sure what he would do as a slave, but he knew he didn't want to live with any of the angels in the room. He gripped his shirt, trying not to cry. Slaves that cried were hit for being emotionally weak. All he could do was pray that someone else would take him. He wanted the auction to be over. -
(I know :/ no wonder he's such a meanie :/)
Ariel was a sore loser about winning. He saw what he wanted, and then it was his. Bam. Easy. Like that. When he heard someone else was winning the auction, he grumbled a few words under his mouth. "Ten thousand for me." He said. He was unhappy about spending such a hefty amount, as he knew the debt could send him running, or locked in an abandoned warehouse again, but he was sure this human would amuse him well.
After all, this one seemed to cripple in fear at the idea of the other angel winning custody of him. This showed that the slave was emotional; a personal favorite type for Ariel. Unlike most angels, he didn't toy with slaves for mere pleasure. No, he played with slaves for amusement. He enjoyed watching a puny human cry for him, he enjoyed the human being reliant for him, even if the human was acting for mere survival.
The angel had remembered his first human he had bought. He was mediocre at best. Brown hair, brown eyes, skinny. He was scrawny and had long limbs. Ariel had gotten him for quite cheap, which was a good first move for one's first slave. The human's name had been Michael, which amused Ariel, since Michael was a name of a very powerful angel. Regardless, Ariel and he had a wonderful time together, full of curious questions that Ariel asked, and lots of passionate moments. However, Michael began to act out. And, as it turned out, humans were, indeed, mortal. And they would die if you cut off their head. Oops. -
(such a qt too!)
The seller grinned when Ariel said the words 'ten thousand'. No one else was winning to spend that much on a small boy, no matter how cute he was. "Any other offers? No? Then, sold, to the man in the back with white hair!" Murmurs went through the crowd as some people realized that the white haired angel was Ariel. Rumors had it that he was often switching out humans, and he wasn't the sweetest towards all of them.
Elliot, hearing the murmurs, scanned the crowd for the man that had won the bid. As he felt someone's hands grab him, he spotted him. He struggled lightly to get a better view of the stranger, but whomever was dragging him offstage was too strong. As he was pulled backstage and brought to the front where the winner had to pay, his heart skipped a beat. The man had red eyes, the color of blood. It made him uneasy, the way the man had an almost bored look. He wondered if the man before him would have been any better. It was too late now, though.
The purple haired boy was brought to the desk, where he was put on a collar and leash. They released his hands, and he rubbed at the red marks that were there. Rope was harsh on skin, and though his hands had often been tied, he would never get used to the pain. Sighing, Elliot looked up, waiting patiently for his owner. He wondered if they would be cruel to him. He hoped that they would turn down the leash, or at least not try to drag him. -
(I knowwww omg)
The red eyed angel paid at once, not hesitating to read off the dollars out loud. "9,000, 9,100, 9,200.. And 10,000." His voice was a low, gruff tone. Ariel didn't seem very patient today, not patient at all. He picked up his pet, grabbing him by the leash and wrapping it around his hand. Personally, Ariel preferred the choke collars, but they stopped giving those out after one angel had accidentally strangled their human right then and there. Now, he would have to head back to his flat, which was miles and miles away. 'I'll never get used to human life.' The angel thought, raising his upper lip in disguist.
He then turned to the boy he had just spent ten thousand dollars on to buy. "So, what do they call you, then?" There was no real purpose in asking a name, Ariel usually used much more demeaning names and nicknames. After his first slave, Michael, he had become crueler and crueler towards humans. Now, he went through them quite quickly, as few were able to stand him for longer than two weeks. He wondered what the durability would be like on this boy.
He tilted his head, scanning him. He remembered what the auctioneer had said. Eighteen, virgin, purple hair, skinny. Yeah, that would last him four weeks, maximum. He didn't seem that special, did he? Well, he was quite cute, but he wasn't out of this world, or anything. Unless his personality was really something special, Ariel would become bored quickly. -
(You are making me love him so much h o w do you do this)
Elliot gasped at the pull of the leash, his hands instinctively flying up to his neck. He felt tears stinging his eyes. Already, he didn't like this man. But he also didn't want to be put back through the auction house. He'd have to keep himself under control if he wanted to survive his stay with the angel.
Upon being asked for a name, the purple haired boy looked up at him, quickly dropping his hands. He bit his bottom lip, looking back down again. He shrugged slightly, looking back up to his owner with conflicted eyes. "Um.. Well, some people call me 'Gray' because of my eyes. Other times, it's just 'boy'. O-Of course, I'm sure you can come up with a much better name," he attempted to impress the other, but knew by the tone of his voice that he wouldn't full anyone. He rubbed his hands together, holding them close to his legs.
Elliot wondered if perhaps being himself would help his case. He liked cute things. Perhaps, if his owner was looking for a companion, he'd be able to show him his favorite things. Sadly, the boy had never been able to hold his favorite things- he had only heard about their cuteness. Penguins, for example. He heard that they were small, flightless birds that lived in cold areas. He wondered if Ariel had ever seen a penguin. He felt a blush teasing him as he realized that the angel probably wouldn't care about a bird and was most certainly not looking for only companionship. -
(*casually reads back at my posts to find an answer* I have no idea)
Ariel couldn't help but snort at the pathetic boy. "I see, I see." He said quietly, dragging the boy along, as he wasn't walking nearly fast enough for himself. He had places to go, he didn't need a puny human slowing himself down. "I paid an awful lot of money for you," His voice was calm and almost sweet, "Are you sure you were worth that?~" A small hum entered the man's voice at the end of his sentence.
Yes, yes. This boy was already amusing him. Normally, Ariel wouldn't be so rough to a new slave. Normally, he'd present himself and tell his name and everything. But he wasn't having that today. Nope, not today. Today he wanted to get home, break his slave in and rest. He feared once his contacts learned of his reckless purchase, he would be treated much like a slave.
The angel's red eyes filled with fear for a moment, but he never took his eyes off the horizon, except to look at the boy. 'Names, names, names,' He thought, tapping his chin with a long, pale finger, 'Does he even deserve a name?' He asked himself. -
(shrugs
I'm making so many typos like *fool and stuff omg I'm sorry xD)
Elliot flinched at the snort, startled by the older's response. He felt as if he had said something wrong. Perhaps he had said too much, or had said too little. As he tried to keep up with the angel's strides, he frowned, rubbing his arm. The human was unsure of how to answer the question, or whether or not the angel actually wanted an answer. He decided to keep his mouth shut and began to spend his time pondering about the answer.
Are you worth it? Elliot felt the question digging into his head, taking over his thoughts. To be honest, the boy wasn't sure of that himself. The auctioneers always said he was destined for something great. However, he didn't feel very great. He felt small, useless, trapped. It was worse when he acted as if there wasn't anything special about him. Perhaps the purple haired boy wouldn't be enough to impress him. He tried to shake it off by glancing at the new surroundings.
All of his life until this point, Elliot had been kept in the darkness of the auction house. He had never been outside, seen the sky, or heard all of the noises that were there to be heard. The amount of angels and their slaves walking down the street startled and amazed him. He looked at everything like a newborn child, a fascinated look on his face. The outside world was new to him. He gasped as they passed a shop that had something called "Plushies". He couldn't tell what all of the items were, but he saw a sheep stuffed toy in the window. He knew it was a sheep, of course, because it fit the description of a sheep that a man had told him. That one was pink, though. Wasn't real. Disappointed, he looked to the other street, trying to see what was going on despite the fast pace that they were walking in. -
I probably won't notice at all dun worry)
The angel frowned at not recieving an answer. He enjoyed the more outgoing and more confident ones, but he suppose they grew up taught not to do so. Which disappointed him, he knew plenty of angels who enjoyed amusing themselves with the more rebellious humans. Ariel sighed, walking up to a large, black, chiq car. It was clear this car was owned by someone with money, and was routinely washed. The angel opened the back seat for the human he had just bought, preparing to slide himself in right after.
The limousine was driven by a human, as well, one that had worked for him for many years. She was an old, cantankerous old lady, who was prone to road rage. He didn't like her much, he never laughed at his jokes, or pitied him when he told his sad stories. Regardless, he kept her around for the contrast of rhythm. She was stubborn, not many whom worked for him had the guts to talk to him like she did.
"Jesus Christ, Ariel! Spend off all my salary at the auction?" The lady had a thick Boston accent, and looked at the two through the mirror in the front. Ugly. She was ugly, ugly, ugly, he thought. Ariel never found many humans attractive; but this one was hideous. Her nose tapered out so far she could be a witch, and the amount of warts on her face was astonishing. She wore sunglasses that a teenager might wear, and her sweatshirt was much too small for her body. "Oh, shut up, Marlene." The angel sneered, glaring at her with his eyes. He then glanced back over to the boy, chuckling gently as if there was something to laugh about. -
Elliot's attention was quickly jumping from object to object. As soon as they neared the car, his eyes locked on it. He had been in a car before, once. It was an ugly car, though, and he didn't like the seats. This car was nicer looking, though. He liked the color; it was a contrast to all of the brighter colored things he had seen.
When the angel opened the door for him, he slid in, though his curiousity did not waver. He touched the seat, enjoying the feeling of fabric beneath his fingers. At the sound of someone else's voice, he looked immediately to the front of the car, staring at the person. She was old, but Elliot knew that she was a human the money he saw her. Knowing that helped him relax into the seat. Ariel. The angel's name. Elliot looked up at Ariel, surprised. He thought the name was cute. He giggled, looking at the window. Despite being eighteen, he felt like a small child. As soon as Ariel took his seat, the human looked at him. He now had a chance to inspect the other up close. -
Ariel slammed the door shut, rattling off an address where the driver would go. She made a small complaint about taking a stop before going home, but immediately started driving. The angel had decided to go to a supermarket first, he had needed to pick up some things, and he figured it would be nice to bond with his new toy. He glanced over to him, chuckling quietly. "We're going to go to the store now," He played with a lock of sparkly white hair in his finger, "If you're nice I might get you something~" He purred.
Oh, what was he saying? He was bound to get the boy something regardless. As Ariel was a spoiled brat, he liked his slaves to follow suit. Although he wasn't extremely nice, he did treat his pets to a lavish lifestyle, full of them getting whatever they want. And after they had bored him, they'd be sold again for a profit, probably to a stricter manager with more perversions. However, it wasn't like Ariel wanted the boy for mere company. No, no. That was far from the truth. But his desires remained hidden, the way he liked to keep them.
It wouldn't take them long to get to the market, he realized, as he glanced out the window on the human's side. They were probably a mile and a half away, and the driver was in quite the rush. They were likely breaking about five traffic laws, but what did he care about laws? After his species had taken over, they had pretty much burned any rules that could make them seem negative. 'Burning things is fun~' The angel thought, smirking. -
Elliot watched the angel play with his hair, and he reached up a hand to touch his own. Only his bangs were long enough to twirl, and he didn't think he'd be able to twirl them the way Ariel did. He looked at the other, hopeful, as he mentioned that he might get something from the super market. The human wondered if they would find some cute things there. "Define nice?" Elliot questioned, hopeful that he would be able to comply to the terms.
-
"Just, don't say anything that will offend or annoy me." The angel told him. "It's not rocket science. But feel free to nag at me and push and pull at your leash. That's cute." Ariel shrugged a little, as the limousine turned into the parking lot of the large store. It was, indeed, quite huge, and had almost everything one could ask for.
It wasn't like Ariel had much to get there, though, as an angel basic necessities were less useful, and rarely needed. Food was needed maybe once a month, depending. However, it was consumed more often for the taste and social aspect of it. Water and drink maybe once a week, but also consumed more. 'Ah-ha,' The angel thought, a devious look spreading onto his face, 'I should make a nice, large dinner tonight with a bottle of wine on the side. That will really give him a good impression~' It was the perfect plan, indeed. -
Elliot wrinkled his nose, grunting slightly at his suggestion. The boy knew he didn't know a thing about Ariel. Anything he did could offend him. But he'd play along, if only to get something out of it. "Okay," he agreed. "I can try to do that." As the car pulled to a stop, he pressed his face up against the glass, trying to peek at the store.
The human wondered what food Ariel would have for him. Back at the auction house, it was always bread, ham, and sometimes cereal or a change of meat. He was also aware none of it was cooked to taste good. It was only cooked so the slaves wouldn't get sick from eating it. He licked his upper lip at the thought of new food and looked back at the angel, eagerly awaiting to leave the car and explore the store. -
The driver parked the car recklessly, and the inhuman being opened his door. He waited for the human to climb out, politely. Ariel had a small smirk playing on his lips as he scanned the boy with his blood red eyes. He scanned the parking lot, it was practically empty. But then again, angels didn't have much of a need for a store. The only reason they didn't demolish all superstores was because of the humans whom were used as slaves. The point wasn't to kill the human, after all, just use he or she.
And they could be used in many ways. Labor, pleasure, amusement. It was often female slaves weren't sold since they were viewed as weaker, and they often were. And when they were sold, they were usually sold to someone like Ariel, except Ariel didn't much fancy the feminine side of the human species. He preferred the males more, as they were more amusing to watch let go of all dignity and self image at all. How pitiful these humans were.
Glancing down at the leash in his hand, he gave it a rough tug. 'I'll have to buy a better leash,' He thought, 'This one simply won't do~' -
Elliot followed the angel out of the car, closing the door behind him. The supermarket was large, he realized. Doubled in size of the auction house, it was very tall indeed. He assumed that it had a lot of items to be sold, though he wasn't sure what the purpose was for. He realized that there was obviously food in there, something that humans needed to survive. The gray eyed boy felt embarrassed at his mistake and went to take a step forward.
He felt a tug on the leash before he could move, and he glanced back at the angel. Ariel didn't seem to be mad that he was going ahead. No, it had been a test pull. Lookin back at the store, he started to walk a few steps forward, though with the leash he couldn't get very far. Unamused, Elliot tugged at it. He could easily unhook the leash from the collar. All he would have to do was reach behind and unclasp the hook. Yet, his instincts told him that wouldn't be a good move. Perhaps Ariel would get angry and see it as an attempt to escape. He waited for the angel to move and stood there, absentmindedly tugging at the collar.
