You start out with a million questions, but in the end, only one question matters. Only one question will save you.
Who killed Evelyn Tao?

Alright, this might seem a bit confusing. Think of this whole thing as a 'who done it', with me not even completely knowing the answer.
We can set it as random as to who becomes the actual murderer, or it can be by volunteer.
My character is Amelia Tao, sister to Evelyn. Your character can be in the family, or they can be a manor employee. Maybe they just happened to be a friend of Evelyn? Whoever they are, they must of contributed to the scene of the murder. By that, I mean they must of been doing something on the Estate at her time of death, and it makes it so much more fun if everyone has a cloud of suspicion. The Butler was 'taking out the trash'. The maid? Working in the garden, digging an oddly large plot.
Anyway, whatever you were doing, and whatever your excuse it, in the beginning, you won't know it.
In the beginning, we only know our names and occupations. We don't even know fully how we're related, if we are.
The information will gradually come to us, as we encounter things to help restore our memory.
Also, notice: There is an odd force field stopping us from leaving the manor until we determine how Miss Tao was murdered. That means absolutely, under no circumstances, are you allowed to leave.
We can all wake up in the beginning in different places. The beginning of this takes place a day after the murder, so the murderer has had a chance to try and remove some of the evidence, just to make it more interesting.
Notice I said this is classified as a fantasy? That's because this can have instances of the paranormal in it. Maybe someone spots the ghost of Evelyn, and it leads them to a minor clue? But nothing too big, alright? We want the story to play out slow.

Background: As Evelyn's younger sister, Evelyn inherited the family money and business when their parents died. Their family is known for their jewelry business. Some people assumed that Amelia would be upset to not of inherited anything, but Evelyn always gave Amelia whatever she wanted, so really she had no room to complain. The sisters were close when they were younger, but when Evelyn began donating money to the nearby temples and taking on a more spiritual vibe, the sisters had a falling out, and Amelia moved to one of the family's country properties. -

Background: He knew Evelyn since they were six, and he had crush on here since. They started dating Sophomore Year of High School and had been together ever since. They had falling out at times, due to Ray having a problem with drinking. His anger got the best of him one night and he threatened to kill himself. Evelyn called the cops. After having 30 days of community service, they paused their relationship. a week before Evelyn's death, she called him, worried about something. After they saw each other, they continued their relationship. No more problems. The last thing Ray remembers was some party... -

Background: Albert was a man who was a museum curator with paleontology degree who meet Evelyn while working. They took a shining to each other and after 5 months of dating, they married. Some would argue that Al only married her because of her money but he would usually deny this. -
