Sam was expecting some comment he wouldn't enjoy but it really didn't come, which shocked him. Sam followed him with his gaze, "Hmmm well... Telling him now could be beneficial because he's not upset, probably but it would also ruin his mood and possibly make him upset but on the other hand, would he not be able to sence me here? And what if I get cut or something, he'll smell the blood and if he finds out that way then he'll be upset with you..." Sam sat there and thought long and hard about it, "What do you think would be better? I don't know him really well its hard to guess his reactions." He said settling on that.
-
Asher thought. "I agree with both your answer's. I think I have decided to tell Paolini the truth. He will be angry with me and he will possibly fight me. I will take the blow because that's better than you dying or getting hurt. I'm tough enough to deal with a few minor blows." Asher pressed his lips together and walked to his dresser. He opened it and pulled out a sword. He examined it and thought. "I don't think this is going to be perfect. You can stay or come. Just don't get in my way or get hurt. I'll protect you with my hardest. Besides, what good would a high rank do if I can't even protect another?" Asher commented.
Would you like me to make a character sheet for Paolini? I might have him in this a ton more often. -
Sam looked a little worried, "A-A-A sword?-" he said a little panicked, "I-Is that necessary, t-that a little out of hand d-don't you think? You aren't going to start a sword fight in the main hall are you?" He asked he frowned slightly, "Y-You don't t-to worry about me so much Asher..." Sam shuffled slightly, "Would it be better to talk to him while your alone? Or like not as many people around or like..." Sam trailed off not wanting to ramble, "W-What do you think w-would be better? Should I come or stay here?" He asked.
Sure if you want to. -
Asher looked at him and smiled. "I'm not going to try to hurt Paolini with a sword. I'm just playing fair. Paolini isn't a fair person. He'll deal me with sword, if I don't or do have a weapon. If he strikes, I'll be playing fair. Vampire or human, I'll get chopped to pieces if I go against him with bare fist. However, don't panic. I can't kill a leader. That's against the rules but I can kick his teeth in." Asher smirked and touched the sword's blade. "I would suggest you to do whatever feels natural. It depends on luck to see if you'll get hurt or not. I don't know what to tell you."

Sam pouted slightly, "Still... I don't want you to get hurt. Asher..." He trailed off, "Please don't do anything rash I really don't want you to be hurt especially if its my fault." He got up slowly and tugged on his arm and frowned up at him. "Asher." He said quietly his eyes wide.
-
Asher thought of his options. He studied Sam and sighed. He didn't want Sam to worry about him but he couldn't get himself destroyed by Paolini. Paolini gave him a higher rank because Paolini knew Asher could and would defeat anyone at anytime. However, he didn't want Sam to be worried or to pout. Asher softly grabbed Sam by his wrist and pulled him along to the door. "Okay. Fair enough but that means you're coming along. I'm not leaving you here for Paolini to come for the grabbing." Asher didn't release Sam's wrist, even though he could've. Asher felt comfortable and less forgetful keeping Sam with him. It made Asher believe everything would most definitely be okay and Paolini wouldn't be pissed.
-
Sam was a little surprised when his wrist was grabbed, he smiled slightly when he said okay but it faded slowly at the rest of his words, "B-But he's going to b-be scary and I-I-" he looked at him wide eyes. His heart pounded but he really couldn't believe that it was just from being worried about Paolini, "He's not going to bite me right, my neck still hurts." He said hanging his head and blushing a bit embarrassed.
-
Asher frowned. "I actually don't know if he'll try to bite you. He might try but I won't let that happen. Don't worry. You just have to have faith in me, I guess." Asher's hand released Sam's wrist. Asher pushed his hair out of his eyes and bit his lip. He felt like he was going to an electric chair. Asher put the sword back onto his dresser and pressed out a sigh. "You can come. It doesn't matter if he tries to bite you or not because he won't bite you." Asher words stumbled a little coming out. He heard his name called out again. Asher looked at Sam's face, watching his expression. He opened the door and made His way out to the hallway.
-
Sams eyes widened more, he tried to say something but nothing came out. He pouted slightly and nodded a bit, Sam felt more nerved when his wrist was released. He watched Asher and to him he looked nervous, he shifted his wait a bit and leaned up towards Asher, he smiled and placed a soft light kiss on his forehead. He fell back on his heels and forced a bright smile on his face, "Don't worry, it can't be that bad." He said, he watched as Asher left and followed after him slowly and shut the door behind him.
-
Asher's heart was beating and he couldn't tell why. He didn't know if it was because of the small peck that was placed upon his forehead or because introducing Sam to Paolini. Asher felt like he was bringing home the date to meet his unwelcoming father. Asher stayed close to Sam because it made him feel more comfortable. He had a light smile on his face. He could feel Sam's presence behind him and that made him not lonely. He walked patiently down the hallway. He wasn't worried as much anymore. He knew Paolini was only hoping to bring Asher's fear. Asher's shoes made stomping noises as he headed farther down the hallway. He wasn't stomping, it was just quiet. Asher knew Paolini was down the stairs waiting because Asher could smell his foul blood. The smell was like rotten flesh. That's why nobody tried to attack Paolini. He walked to the balcony of the stairs and headed down them.
Paolini took a deep breath in. He grew a big grin and relaxed his muscles. "Ah. Asher. It's you. I can practically smell you a mile awhile." Paolini looked at the new male beside Asher and he raised his eyebrows. "Oh My. You brought a guest." Paolini croaked and covered his mouth with his hand. His orbs changed red immediately. "Dear God. Who are you, boy? You have a gift within those veins. A beautiful gift. You smell like a Pure, Cleanse Female Sacrifice. Satan himself must be turning around to smell you in hell." -
I started laughing when I read what Paolini said my mom gave me the weirdest look ever.))
Sam followed him, he looked at the male he assumed was Paolini which was confirmed when he started talking. The man smelled terrible from what he could smell with his senses bit the he did look kind of attractive but that thought was washed out of his mind when he covered his mouth and his eyes turned red. He shivered and parted his lips to say something but couldn't. He struggled for a moment before saying, "That's a new one." He barley choked it out and looked at Asher with pleading eyes, "I-I-I mean..." He stuttered out quietly. -
I tried to add a bit of humor into it. Plus, that made me laugh too, So I knew I couldn't leave that part out.))
Asher gritted his teeth and smiled at Paolini. The smile was warming but his eye's were shooting sharp daggers at Paolini. Asher grabbed Sam's forearm and pulled him closer behind Asher. "Shut up. His name is Sam and he'll be staying with us. He's apart of our Coven now but that doesn't mean I'm letting him take bulls--- from you. I've had enough. You can mark me as many times as you would like but not him. Not Sam. I brought him here to keep him away from being pricked ever again." Asher's voice wasn't like talking to Sam. His voice was more rebellious and Firm. His voice was a snarl. Asher's voice when even a slight bit angered it was enough to scare anyone. However, not Paolini. Paolini had heard it so many times. He knew Asher like a book. Asher's fang hissing and dominance wasn't anything to Paolini. Asher's red orbs watched The leader's every move.
Paolini grinned and shifted closer to them. He cracked his knuckles and licked his bottom lip. "Hello, Sam. Come here and I'll give you a proper welcoming." Paolini cocked his head and chuckled. "Poor, Asher. Asher, what will I ever do with you? You know the rules. Nobody is welcomed into the Coven, unless I've tried their blood. So. Bring the little lamb over and I'll give him a taste. He might even be my knew pet. Besides, Your taste of blood is getting old to me. Yes, Asher. It's very good and you're a good fighting. However, even in the animal kingdom Animals get tired of the same old food." -
When Sam was pulled forwards he slammed into Ashers back he flinched slightly at the tone of Ashers voice, "Asher its fine, if its tradition or something, its okay." He said into his back. He peeked out from behind Ashers back and shivered a bit at the mans still red eyes, he bit his bottom lip harder then he meant to and it drew blood the taste filled his mouth but a little ran off his lip. He continued to naw on his lip.
-
Asher thought everything was going pretty decent until he smelled the mental liquid. Asher widened his eye's and turned to look at Sam. He didn't exactly know what to do. His fangs were around showing, craving him to attack. He gagged and pressed his hand against his mouth. He shivered. The blood smell was like cocaine. The room was darkening. His humanity was slipping. He mind was screaming, telling him to not attack Sam. He was stiff. Asher could've dealt with it, if he wasn't as hungry as he was. Asher was use to being feed good. He'd always been able to get food easily. His senses were trembling. His brain was pissed because such little blood was forcing him into a monster. He'd hate to see what he'd do to Sam if Sam ever got a big cut. Asher will start to force himself to be full at all times, no matter how much he throws up. However, it was different right now. Asher grabbed Sam's collar and pulled his lips to his. The kiss wasn't as Tender as Asher would've liked because Asher was Craving. Asher's hands were placed on Sam's neck. His fangs pierced Sam's bottom lip.
Paolini smelt the blood a second after Asher did. He darted after them but before he could feast and kill Sam, Asher had beaten him to it. Paolini cursed and narrowed his eyebrows, in furrow. He grinned and crackled a laugh. He walked to them and leaned down to Asher's ear. "See, Asher. This is why Vampires don't have friends. I was quickly thinking about slaughtering your friend but Silly Me. All I had to do was wait until you get hungry enough. I'll make sure to cook everything you leave behind for dinner tonight. I'm sure the other's will enjoy the sweet prey you brought." Paolini whispered, even though it was loud enough for both the male's to hear.
