YEEEES
Kyland was only capable of picking up bits and pieces of Jasper's voice and he said nothing of it. He handed the bills to Henrietta, who hurriedly gave him his change. Thankfully, she had bagged his groceries for him and they were neatly placed at the end of the counter. He thanked her, grabbing the paper bags and gesturing for Jasper to follow him as he walked towards the entrance. -

Jasper skipped after the older man, rushing in front of him so he could grab the door and hold it. "After you, good sir!" He said in his best British accent, giggling and letting the door close behind them when Kyland walked through. He was in a really good mood all of a sudden, feeling all lovey dovey, stomach full of butterflies. -
B)
Kyland, in his own twist of a British accent, thanked Jasper. His mind was swarmed with caring, loving thoughts about the other. Head over heels was an understatement. He wasn't exactly sure what had come over him when it came to Jasper, but it was something that he didn't want to face too soon. It had only been a day or so. People didn't fall for each other that fast, did they? -
meow
Jasper skipped towards the direction of the car, humming to himself. It had gotten a bit warmer since they had entered the store, but he still shivered a bit as he faced the wind when he made his way to the car. He turned to face the older as he walked backwards, sticking his tongue out and yelling, "Slow poke!" with a giggle. -
le kitteh is back
Kyland gasped. "A slow poke, you say? I'm truly offended." He threw tilted his head away from Jasper, walking even slower in the direction of his car. He could have been compared to a slug at the rate in which he was moving. "How's this for slow poke?"he uttered in a dragged out fashion, extending the sound of each syllable. -
meowww
Jasper groaned, now standing beside the car and literally face palming. He removed his hands from his face and leaned against the car. "Hurry uppp!" The younger boy whined in a high pitched voice, no longer leaning against the car and bouncing in place now. "You get no love now cause you're slow!" He said, crossing his arms with a pout. -
-peeeets-
That was the deal breaker and he immediately scurried to his car. "That's an evil way of doing things," he mentioned with a chuckle, unlocking the car with a click of the button. He opened the back door, setting the groceries on the backseat. "That should be okay." He gave the door a reasonable push so that it shut tightly. He opened up the driver's side door but didn't get in just yet. There was an unfamiliar smell in the air and he furrowed his eyebrows. -
purr
Jasper giggled at that and watched the man put the groceries in the backseat. Everything the man did was done with grace and it was hard to pull his eyes away even for a mere second. He opened the door to get into the passenger side but stopped when the older man didn't get in the car. He tilted his head in confusion. -
brendone urie's voice is life
This particular action was one of the many reasons he did not particularly like being the creature that he was. Once a new smell was picked up, it was incredibly difficult to just leave it alone. He wanted to seek out the origin of the pungent, bitter arome but fought against it, settling himself in the driver's side seat and shutting his door. That helped to remove some of the need for finding what it was. He buckled up and hurried to rev the engine and book it, leaving the smell behind. -

yesss
Jasper got into the passenger seat and shut the door, buckling up and staring out the window. He decided not to press on whatever had just happened, assuming it was just one of those vampire things again and left it alone. A question popped up in his head and he got curious. "Do you know of any other people like you around here?" It wasn't like he wanted a map of where every vampire that ever walked the Earth was at, but it would be nice to know if there were others in the area. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't a bit paranoid about getting bitten by others now. -

Upon hearing the question, he backed out of his parking space and left the parking lot relatively faster than he typically would. He looked at Jasper with an in-depth, thoughtful face. "Well..." He put his eyes back on the road. "New York is a very big place, but I only know of a handful of others, and they are all like I am. Try to be as normal as possible. Try not to use it for evil blahblahblah. You don't have to worry about them." He tried to join traffic, a bit ticked when someone cut his turn off. He was able to pull in when the next car stopped for him. -
:s
Jasper bit his bottom lip, the way the man was driving seeming a little bit off to the younger, but he said nothing about it. He nodded as the other man talked. "Do you like, keep in contact with them?" He didn't try to seem nosy even though he kinda was being pretty nosy. -

The next traffic light he stopped at was red and his car was about the sixteenth in line, the joy of New York's traffic coming to haunt him. He never was a fan of it, but it did let him sit for a moment to answer Jasper's question. "Only for certain situations. Like if there's a new threat that could harm one of us, we let each other know. It's a friendly way of keeping each other up to speed." The light flicked to the bright green everyone wanted and a cacophany of beeps and horns were automatically heard. The line pressed on slowly. -

Jasper hated being stuck in traffic, especially surrounded by impatient people who seemed to get joy by laying their hand down on the horn. He wrinkled his nose at the noise, nodding at the man's response. It made sense, he supposed, for them to have some sort of pack where they warned each other when there was a threat. Humans did that too, sometimes, but mostly just to make themselves seem like better people.
