Jasper laughed, making his way down the stairs two at a time. "You're not the only one who gets to be naughty!" He said with a grin, sliding down the railings of the stairs cheekily with another laugh. When he made it to the parking lot, he sprinted to the car and stood beside it, bouncing on his toes. "You're such a slowpoke, slowpoke!"
-
Kyland had to sprint down the stairs in order to hurry after Jasper because, well, his edginess thought that sliding down the railings of stairs was just too edgy. Once he made it to his car, he gave a tiny poke to Jasper's nose. "If I could go all vampire on you, I would be a mile away by now." He unlocked the car, heading to his side and hopping right on in, in a bit of hurry as he didn't want to displease his boss.
-
Jasper rolled his eyes fondly and opened the passenger side door, getting in and shutting it behind him. He buckled quickly and turned to the older male. "Can you actually go like, really fast as a vampire? What if I get on your back and you go really fast? Oh my God, they did that in Twilight! You're Edward and I'm Bella. I don't want to almost die in the middle of giving birth to a devil spawn, though. We can skip that part."
-
Kyland laughed aloud once more as he fixed everything in the car, locking the doors and adjusting his mirrors. "That's one stereotype that Twilight got right. We do move at a very fast rate. It can vary depending on conditions, though, just like driving." He rose an eyebrow. "No demon babies get made, either. So no worries." He backed out of his space and exited the complex, joining the flow of traffic in the direction of the clinic.
-
The younger male laughed as well, beaming at the vampire. "I wanna see you go fast sometime. We could go to a field or something like that and see how long it takes you to get from one side to another. Seeing how sloooooow you are, I'd probably beat you," Jasper teased. "Thank God about the demon babies, though. This-" He stopped to point at his crotch. "Was not made to birth demon babies or any other babies."
-
"That would fun. But...that also sounds like a challenge, so now we have to do it." He made a few 'tsk' noises by clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth. He gave a firm nod at Jasper's statement, "Very true." The male was a bit thrown off by the minimal amount of traffic there was. In his area, it was typically packed and always required patience to get to even the nearest location. Today, the people on the road had eased to an extent, and it was refreshing. It was almost like a normal, suburban road, where there could sometimes be a bit of a line, but that the cars would get through the light within a turn or two. He continued gleefully on his way.

i'm reading my old threads and god how did you live with me
Jasper hummed and didn't respond, drumming his fingers against his knee. He was in a pretty good mood for a lot of reasons, but mostly because he was getting to spend his day with the older male. He turned and watched him drive for a bit before speaking up. "Do you believe in heaven and hell and stuff like that?" -
you were zane
but honestly how did any of us live with anybody in their newb state
The complications in answering that specific question were immense. Kyland didn't believe in Heaven or Hell because he already was aware that things weren't built in that way. He had been taught lessons from other vampires, because once a person was no longer...a person, they had to become aware of their fate. The afterlife was set up in realms and no realm was led by a 'god' or a deity. The two largest realms were the Spiritual Realm and the Supernatural Realm. There were a variety of other realms, but the aforementioned two held the most strength. "That is...Well...Do you believe in them?" -
it's just awful
I DON'T KNOW i would have slayed myself so hard my god
Jasper was Catholic and had grown up all his life as one. He had always gone to church every Sunday and actually enjoyed it. He still was a Catholic but he didn't really go to church as much anymore since he would rather spend his time drawing. He raised his eyebrow at the way the older male avoided the question and nodded slowly. "I believe in God, Heaven and Hell. It just..makes sense, I guess. I grew up that way.." He bit his lip, glancing out the window. "Being a vampire, you probably know the real answer, I'm guessing.." Jasper wouldn't admit it but he was deathly afraid that his beliefs may be wrong. He had never thought he might be wrong about God until now when he realized the vampire was avoiding the question. -
x'D slayed yourself stop
Kyland ran a hand through his hair. A few minutes later, he answered, "Then you don't want my answer to that." Being in a line of psychology work, he was aware of how much an impact religion played on people's lives. It gave them something to have faith in and to help shape a sense of moral. He stared ahead, coming up on the street that would lead him down the road and to the clinic. He peeked at the time, making note of the fact that it had been about ten minutes since they left the house and they were almost arriving. That meant that traffic had eased about five minutes. -
I WOULD HAVE i would have said this
Jasper said nothing else about the matter. He absentmindedly picked at his nails, biting his bottom lip. He knew he wouldn't change what he believed in no matter what the answer had been, even though he knew the older male knew more and was much wiser than him. He laid his head against the window and stared outside as they drove, humming quietly to himself. He had never been down this way before and the scenery was all new to him. He made note of every detail so he could draw it later. -
ayeee kingsley
im pretty sure we gots choice words for our newb self
Sooner than later, the car pulled into the clinic in which Kyland worked at. It was a simple building, painted beige with green accents. It was somewhat on the larger side of most clinics, but it drew in enough clients to keep everything running smoothly. He parked in his designated space, which read, Kyland Herrick, Child and Adolescent. This meant that his area of study was for children anywhere from 2 years old to 18 years old. Underneath that, it read, Top Resident which meant that he was there for a paid residency to complete his schooling, but that he was also one of the better residents. -
he's my spirit animal
yes very many choice words
Jasper looked the building up and down with an approving nod. He wasn't sure what he expected, he was just glad it wasn't some rundown dump. The younger male unbuckled and grabbed his bag from the car floor, opening his door and swinging the bag over his shoulder. He got out, stretching a little bit before shutting his door. He examined the sign with the vampire's name on it. He hadn't known the man's last name until now so it was a bit interesting. "Herrick.." He muttered under his breath, testing how it rolled off the tongue. He walked to the front of the car and waited for the other male to get out and guide the way since he had no clue where he was going. -
indeed indeed x3
too many in fact
Kyland exited the vehicle, clicking the lock button multiple times. He held the button for his trunk to open up and he went to it, pulling from it a clean, stereotypical white coat that had his name and occupation embroidered on the top right pocket. He slammed the trunk closed, heading directly to the front door and holding it open for Jasper to enter along with himself. -
