Joseph said "Fine if you don't want to tell me the truth. But don't expect to be welcome at the castle anymore."

"If theirs even a castle left. Did you think of that?" She snapped turning back to him, "You need to think once in a while!" She huffed, "Does it really matter if I'm a magic user or not.

"No. But what is important is that you're lying to me. You, one of our most entrusted caretakers. I don't even know if I can trust you now or ever again." said Joseph.

Merlin looked at him, she tilted her head slightly, "Yes, so? I'm still me, does me being able to use magic change anything? And if you couldn't trust me- you know what nevermind." She said.

"Yes but how do I know how many times you lied to us?" asked Joseph.

Merlin huffed, "You're blowing this way out of proportion."

"You know what happened to my mom. That's the whole reason we locked out the magic users." said Joseph. He started tearing up.

"So one maybe two magic users broke in and did what they did, normal people could of done the exact same thing and you wouldn't of done this." She said ignoring the tears in his eyes, "And... I'm not like that, not all of us are like that." She said shrinking away from him.

"My dad didn't know that. He wanted to keep me and the kingdom safe. He was just angry about Mom's death." Joseph said, tearing up more.

"Its common sense! If every angry father, husband, mother, wife, and or child, killed a bunch of people everytime someone died..." Merlin studied him for a moment, "My village would of killed all of the soldiers by now, just because you have a country it doesn't give you the right to kill who ever you want, it doesn't give you the right to act like a child, Joseph." Merlin looked at him and forced herself to stay where she was, she hated watching him cry and it was going down that road and she didn't like it.

Joseph sat down his head on his knees and said "I didn't know this when my mom was killed. I was only 4. I never questioned my dad because I thought what he was doing was right. This has been the most messed up Monday ever."

Merlin walked back over to him and sat down in front of him on her knees, "Its fine Joseph, you didn't need to know this, I didn't need to say it." She said she wrapped her arms around him lightly, "Mondays aren't that bad." She said.

Joseph shed one single tear. Joseph said "I think I still needed to hear it." He got up and said "But now isn't the time for being sad. Now is the time to take back the kingdom."

Merlin whipped the tear off his face, "No, you really didn't." She frowned, "Joseph now isn't the time for this, you need to think about things... You can't do this now, it hasn't been all of five minuets."

"We're not going in now. We need fire power and something to counter Purplos. I know someone we can talk to about this." said Joseph.
