Thread Topic: Words Will Always Hurt Me
-
I made a new thread because the other one got cluttered. Here's a link to the old one for purpose of saving character sheets and seeing the previous roleplay posts:
Link
The new posting order is as followed:
Me > Momo > Honey > Jinx > Connor > Absol > Whiplash
Please do not post conversational speech in this thread seeing as how that's how we cluttered up the previous thread. Also do NOT bump the soap unless the person who is supposed to be responding next is on and hasn't noticed. If you wish to post any changes to your character, you can re-post the sheet with its changes in this thread. If you are talking out of context, use parenthesis or brackets- ()'s or []'s- to say what you will.
Last response can be seen here, by Jinx Blackclaw:
Kaori had been wandering around for what seemed like days. After her 'link' had died, she had been distraught and overcome with mental and physical limitations that she couldn't fathom. Here it was four days later and she was feeling a little better, but she felt something changing inside of her. Something was stirring within her soul that she didn't understand. Kaori looked around and then paused for a moment. She wanted to get some sleep, but none came for her. Kaori's gut instinct said to keep moving. It was like her mind was trying to tell her, something was coming or about to happen.
Connor you can take the floor when you're online. -

Maverick examined his prey closely, it was a small deer probably kind of young. Maverick readied his hunting spear careful not to make a sound. He crept closely to the deer and thrust his spear directly into the deer's stomach. "This should be good enough." Maverick thought to himself as he prepared the deer carcass for cooking.

Shakall sloshed through a murky swamp, peering around through the thick haze. Marshal, a native marsh-minotaur of these parts, trekked along with Shakall as a guide through these dark marshes. "Tell me, friend... What is your purpose for venturing these murky depths? Not much lies beyond here but endless lands of empty territory." Questioned the Marshotaur. Shakall took a long ghostly breath before answering. "That is none of your concern, 'friend'." He spoke coldly, not changing his point of view for a second. The marshotaur stayed quiet for quite some time afterwards, the only sounds being slooshes and sloshes with the occasional sound of a mosquito being squashed. Then, out of the blue, Shakall spoke again with the same chilled voice. "Fighting me now would only bring your doom, marshotaur. You will not stop be from reaching the son of Mephistopheles. It is advised you restrain your thoughts on striking." He states, stopping and looking at the travel guide. There was a brief silence between the two, not even mosquitoes daring to break the intense quite atmosphere. Then, quickly, the native pulled out a spear and shield. "It is not my duty to decide if I fight you now, Anubi. It is my lords will who persuades my decision." He says firmly, getting into a battle stance, hooves locked. "Your death wish, Marshotaur." Shakall pulls the lower end of his scepter from the marsh and charges matter into it, making a purple axe blade. "Dark magic... I see... You have even delved into the arts of the forbidden in your own beliefs. I must stop you before you get out of hand!" The minotaur charged, his shield in place and spear pulled back in a jousting position.

(I'm not going to let this plot go to waste from one person. We've waited a day, that's my max before I'll ask any of you to skip past someone to keep this flowing.)
Leviathan glanced up at his partner when he spoke, smiling and shaking his head. He left the side of the contained seed to stand beside Behemoth, looking at his food of choice in his hand. "I was just thinking about how useless it would be for someone to fight against us," the demon shrugged and played with his furry clothing as he looked back to the box. "So many fight to try to get a single, damned seed. I broke their minds when I destroyed that tree hundreds of years ago, so what do they think will receive upon getting my token?" He put his head in his hand, leaning it off to the side and making a dramatic, pitiful noise. "They're the only pests keeping us from world domination for Father. It's a pity that they won't all see we're the winners and they're the losers, don't you think?"
April pouted at her older sibling when he made fun of her, looking down and angrily kicking at the snow. "I told you I should have just opened a portal. People are accustomed to magic in this town. It would have saved you from my wrath!" She stuck a finger in his face, waving it around. She breathed onto it, and suddenly fire sparked to life. She bounced up and down, trying to catch his attention. "See this? I'll use it on ya if you don't answer me!"
Aiko ignored her rambling, squinting at a building in the distance. A tall building was coming up to view, illuminated through the snow. He took off into a trot (or, at least, something close to a trot) as it got closer to the pair. He could feel his bones screaming for warmth that wasn't April's weak, human made flames. -

(Gonna respond to this, then I gotta sleep)
"Their faces were funny. They were so scared over some tree dying. There's plenty of dying plants, why is this one so special?" Behemoth puckered his lips, a bored look on his face. When he noticed his mate staring at his food, he shied a bit, not liking it when the other's attention was on his eating habits. It made him self-conscious. "Yeah, losers. You're the most powerful demon in the realm. They won't win, ever." He quickly finished his food and moved to settled his head on the other's shoulder, nestling at the soft fur he wore and staring at the box with half-lidded eyes. "..Can we go rest? I'm exhausted."
The fairy carefully descended from his nature-made home and stretched, inhaling cool air before trudging through the snow. With what little savings he had left, Nahele began to move for town, trying to keep himself wrapped up as securely as he could manage. But the light wind cut through the thin fabric of his clothes easily. He wasn't born to live in such conditions. "Need new clothes for this weather, too.." He muttered to himself as he hurried to the nearest hotel. -
