Hmm I don't know... Maybe the start of the workday after she helped him, what about there?
-
Okay. Sounds good, sure.

Cordi stumbled into the large gorgeous lobby of the place she was suppose to be working at as of today, the man standing behind a counter gave her a stuck up look, "Miss, I believe you're in the wrong building." She refrained from saying the snarky comment that came to her mind,
"Um actually I'm starting here today... Um as a sectary for um Benjamin Francis I believe." His eyes widened a bit,
"Oh I'm sorry miss, you can head on up." He told her which floor it was and who to look for. She nodded as she followed along with what he was saying, after she walked away and went up the elevator. As the doors for the elevator a few people wised past and people looked pretty busy, she walked out she moved sideways avoiding people she let out a sigh of relief and looked around. -
Benjamin sat in his Brown leather chair in his office behind his dark metallic desk. He had the window cracked open to let in a breeze as he filled out a few papers he had in front of him. Finishing the current papers he had there, he looked up to a man standing in front of the desk. He stood tall, as he waited there. "James, here. Take these with you and you can now. Just drop them off by Sarah when you get down to your floor." he told the man handing him the papers in a folder.
The man, James, nodded his head to him and took the folder from him. "Will do, sir." he said as he did a perfect 180 and walked to the door.
Benjamin turned and gazed out of the window behind him, looking down to the passing citizens as they went on with their days. He sighed lightly as he sat there, looking out for the time being. -
Cordi looked around and when she looks back straight ahead of her a lady was standing in front of her, she flinched slightly, "Can I help you?" The girl infront of her asked,
"Uh umm... I... I'm starting work here tod-"
"For who?"
"Benjamin Fra-"
"Come with me." She said, she spun a quick 180 and started walked, Cordi stumbled after her and started after her, she knocked on a door with a guy sitting in a chair, "Sir, your new secretary is her," Cordi was met with a harsh glare,
"Cordillera,"
"Your new secretary, Cordillera is here." She said then walked away,
"Someone has a stick shoved up their ass." She mumbled once the girl was out of ear shot and then she realized that he probably heard her but she hoped he didn't. -
Benjamin rotated slowly in his chair, his eyes closed as he faced his desk and the door where they stood at. His eyes slowly opening to get a view of who it was who was there as he held a blank expression upon his face for the most part. He shook his head a bit to the side with an jnamused look to himself, as he signaled her to come in more. "Cordillera was it? So you are the new secretary here. Right?" he asked sitting up straight in his chair as he kept his gaze on the woman in front of him. "You know what you are here to do, correct? And take a seat if you wish." he said nodding to the chair in front of the desk, to the side a bit.
-
Cordillera let out a small sigh if relief since he didn't hear what she said, she looked at the man and smiled slightly, "Yes, I'm Cordillera but um you can call me Cordi if you want." She straightened her posture at the same time he sat up, she took a few steps in, "Yes, I'm aware of my jobs that I am suppose to do, sir." She said the sir quietly, she came in the office more and sat down, she crossed her legs in front of her careful not to cause her skirt to ride up anymore so it didn't get awkward in her, she placed her hands on her knee. Her white sleeves lightly touching her legs, she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and placed her hand back where it belonged.
-
Benjamin kept an eye on her, keeping his eyes centered upon hers staring deeply to her. He was trying to see how she would react as he did it, a tes, so to say. "I'll just stick with Cordillera for now, miss." he spoke in a calm and somewhat deep voice that he had to her. He nodded his head slightly, careful to maintain eye contact with her as he did so. "Good. I have no need to explain it to you. Word of advice though..." he said with a pause for a few seconds there, "Do your best and work hard. Try not to slack off or anything." with that he leaned forward, placing his elbows on the desk and hooking his hands together flat as he rested his chin on the centre of them and sighed lightly.
-
Cordillera kept on a small smile as his eyes centered on hers although his gaze did unnerve her, to say the least, "Okay, if you're comfortable with that, that's fine, sir." She said making sure her voice didn't crack or go timid, although it was difficult. The constant eye contact was starting to freak her out although she didn't show it well if at all. Her grip tightened on her knee as he spoke, was it something about her? Did she just look like the person who'd take a break and go do some crystal meth or something? This frustrated her to no end, people were always saying stuff like that to her and it was always directed at her directly, "I wouldn't be here if i was going to slack, sir." She said as she waited to be dismissed.
-
Benjamin kept as he was, making direct eye contact as he sat there staring to her. He slowly nodded his head to her. "For now, I am. If I would shorten your name to what you said, I would first want to see you work hard and well. Gain...trust? In a way. Understand?" he said as he leaned off his hands and back into the chair upright. He could see her grip tighten as he observed her out of the corner of his eyes, a slight smirk appeared on his face for a second before it went away. He km we he had got a bit through her and that it was possible to do more. That would be a natural response for many however as she had done. "You have a good point. Now..." he said slightly waving his hand, "Get to work. You're dismissed for now." he said after a moment, as he sighed and leaned back in his chair and waited for her departure for the time being.
-
Cordi just sat there mentally calming herself down, "Yes, sir. Of course, it makes sense, I'm sorry if it seemed rude of me to ask such a thing, its just off, being called my full name." She bit her tongue, as she noticed he might have caught her. She bit her tongue harder and smiled and nodded to him, as she was dismissed, "I look forward to working with you." She said before she excited, as she walked away she sighed lightly, she sat down at her appointed desk only stumbling a few times. She sat down, "Great," she mumbled to herself, "I'm personal secretary for one guy and its this ass." She mumbled.
-
Benjamin nodded his head to her as he placed his hands on his lap and sat there for a moment looking back into her eyes as she spoke again. Good. It is well, miss. Trust is earned after all and not given freely." he said to her. He chuckled silently to himself as she walked out, he sighed and turned back to the win down for a short while, staring out of it with a smile in his face. He closed his eyes as he turned back to his desk and rested his hands behind his neck, stretching a bit as he went into a slight thought process and sat there. He started to slowly write some notes on a piece of paper for the time then.
-
Cordi glance over at the man in the office from her desk and huffed quietly and started to work. She typed, part of her wanted to leave already, since the odds were against her that she was going to get fired. She closed her eyes for a moment and opened them and continued on doing her work, she needed this job for many reasons but one of the main one was for her brother he was a few years older than her and had two children and no matter what she couldn't lean on her brother, she always had and she really couldn't any more.
(I actually have almost no idea what secretarys actually do. XD) -
They, Uhm...secretate! Yeah, secretate XD)
Benjamin continued to write some of his notes he had, taking note of all he had seen so far for a reference. His eyes glanced up to a click above the door and to the side, "9:51, already? Maybe the battery is messed up in it." he said with a sigh as he stood up from his desk and walked over to it. He shook his head as he saw it was not moving at all so he was right, no batteries. "Atleast I have my watch." he said as he turned back and sat in his chair, at his desk again and went back to doing what he was doing. He glanced from the corner of his eye, now and then, to his new Secretary. Taking more of his she seemed to act, look, and behave as he did so.
(when I made his name; is it bad that I was thinking of Benjamin Franklin?) -
Yep! They do that!... What ever that is...))
Under other circumstances the obnoxious phones and constant sound of keyboards would of pissed off Cordi. Under a circumstance where a job wasn't at stake. Cordis mind was I'm a degree of lag that no ones will ever be able to beat, the fact that she made it to this point with out falling asleep as a miracle all on its own. She'd been up this long without coffee, it was like an engine without oil, but no matter what it wasn't like she could go get some or have some near her because she spill it either on herself someone else or a computer, if it was just one what would not end well.
