Zachriel nodded, skeptical. Sadly, part of Zachriel's "innocent" aesthetic was being quite credulous. Not one part of Zachriel had a lack of trust in this odd character- Who stood out from everyone else in quite a bizarre way. Nope, Zachriel trusted the dark figure entirely, and managed a small grin. "Me? Powerful? No way!" His eyes widened, like a little kid's would when they got excited or impressed.
The angel never would suspect himself for being what he really was- A knight of God. His innocent, unsuspecting mind truly got him screwed over a few times in the mortal world. When he was in Heaven, he was one of the strongest forces- An angel of memories! His job was to remove bad memories, or leave them stick. Remove good memories, or let them be a pleasant daydream to look back on. In a way, Zachriel was a guardian angel. But somehow, some way, he found himself walking among the mortals- as one of them. How this had happened was a mystery, and Zachriel didn't seem to have any memories of what he once was. Quite ironic. -
Caine nodded and looked around, making sure nobody is listening of their conversation. "Yes, really. You have to stay with me at all times and you can never ever tell a living soul. I'm sure there will be more bad thing's after you to try to catch you and I'm sure this is exhausting news to catch up on." Caine let out a sigh and smiled. "Would you like to go get coffee? I'm sure you're surprise by bitter news and I'm sorta rich on earth. It's the least I could do. Plus, I don't get to eat earth sweets and delights that much. I'm sure it'll be a treat to both of us." Caine crossed his arms.
Caine knew this was it. He had made the male fall for his trick's. He had almost pitied him. "Oh. By the way, my name is Caine Rhome. Very nice to meet you." Caine grew a sly smirk and tried to seem calm about this situation. He was pretty much dying inside from excitement. He had actually just gotten himself an Angel. A beautiful Angel, that he could trick and make bad. -
"Caine? That's an odd name." Zachriel said with a small chuckle. "That's the name of Adam and Eve's oldest son- The one who killed his brother, Abel. Why do you think your parents named you that?" Zachriel responded, tilting his head in curiosity. But then he realized it was impolite not to say his name as well. Jolting, he exclaimed, "Oh! I'm Zachriel Heft." He told him, grinning widely. His canines gently peaked out of his mouth. "And yeah, coffee sounds good. I know this great place- It's relatively cheap too." He responded, looking upwards towards the sky in excitement. A guardian angel? How cool! 'What am I destined for?' The boy wondered in awe. 'I hope something awesome!' The boy was so excited he could hardly contain himself.
-
Caine let out a small chuckle. "I guess my parents thought I would be bad later on in life or maybe it's just a name they liked." Caine bit his lip, well that was ironic. Caine studied him. Caine brain lit up. 'Oh my gosh! The Angel of memory!' Caine's eye's glowed. Caine let out a light chuckle and nodded. He was beyond happy to be the first of all the demon's to find the Angel of memory.
Caine glared, starting to daydream but he stopped himself. "Lead the way." He was talking about the coffee place and looked at the crowd of random people. Caine was in a elated mood. The truth was Caine was supposed to resemble Cain, the person who murdered. "I see that your a very religious man, from the way you talk and know your stuff." Caine followed him. -
Zachriel chuckled to himself quietly. "Religious? I guess. I was raised Catholic. I like to keep myself following God's rules." Zachriel told him with a shrug, walking down the street in order to get to the cornerside shop. "To be honest, when I was little, I wanted to be an angel. I thought that it would be soooo cool to be a knight of God. And have wings, and, ya know, be extremely beautiful in almost every aspect." Zachriel told him, the breeze blowing through his white hair.
The day was hot and humid, and Zachriel could feel a storm blowing in. California air was quite predictable, after all. Especially when you've lived there all of your life. You could feel a storm's presence in the air two days before it came- if you got good enough. When his eyes settled on the coffee shop, he turned the corner to it. He opened the heavy door for the other, grinning happily. "So." He said, sitting down. "How does it work, being a guardian angel? How is it that you have "parents" and don't stay directly in Heaven?" The beautiful being inquired, pursing his lips. -
Caine sat down in chair beside Zachriel. It was a cute little shop. He liked the brown color of the wall's and the teal color of the table's. Caine smiled, showing his vampire like fangs. "I never agreed to having parents. You just expected me to. I don't actually know my parents. I guess they went to the opposite place or they still lurk around on this piece of crap planet. I dunno. They probably suck anyways. It doesn't really bother me. My nickname is Comet. That's what the other's call me but my creator told me my actual name." Caine shrugged. "Being an Angel is fairly okay. I mean, I don't get worshipped or anything. However, it has it's benefits. I'm not exactly supposed to on earth right now. But it's not exactly exciting up there either." He laid his hand's on the table and reached for a napkin. He perfectly tossed it in front of Zach. "You have a little blood on you."
-
Zachriel thanked Caine for the napkin and began to wipe the blood off of himself. "I was so stupid for wearing a white suit today.." He mumbled to himself. "Dad's gonna kill me." And it was true. Missing the most important meeting of the year wouldn't go up well with his father or boss- And that, to say the least, sucked for Zachriel. 'I might even be demoted.' He thought, full of worry. 'What would my co-workers think then? That I'm a slacker? My reputation has been impeccable until now!'
These thoughts busied Zachriel away from the waitress who had come to serve them. "Sir? Sir? How can I help you?" She asked.
"Oh! I'm so sorry! I'll have a cappuccino, two sugars, one cream and whipped cream on the top, please." Zachriel told her, scanning the girl. She looked around seven teen. The waitress was wearing an apron and a knee-length black dress with sleeves. A tattoo was visible from under her arm- On her wrist. It said a name and a date of some sort. Likely a loved one that passed away. She had bright red hair, and brown eyes, with some acne under her chin. 'She's cute.' He thought, shrugging. -
Caine glared around. "I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. Besides, I don't know if you can go hom-...." He stopped when the waitress stopped by. He noticed her appearance and brushed it off. Her tattoo did catch his eye's though. He wondered if it was a death of something or someone. He wondered if he knew the person. The waitress looked at him and he awkwardly looked away. "Just pure black coffee for me. I don't need any caffeine or anything sweet at the moment." Caine didn't know why he wanted unsweet coffee, but it sounded really good at the moment for his dark soul.
-
'He doesn't know if I can go home?' Zachriel wondered to himself, alarmed. 'What in the world is that supposed to mean?!' Panic filled the young man's eyes as the waitress stepped away with the orders. "What in the world do you mean by "you're not sure if I can go home"?" He said, trying to press down the negative emotions he was feeling from the words. A fake calm spread on his face, and he clasped his hands together, blinking a little. "B-but I want to go back to my apartment..' He said under his breath. 'What will they think if I go missing with this stranger?' Yet again, he was having doubts. Serious doubts. Zachriel was wondering if he was dead- or on drugs. Anything to explain this bizarre turn of events.
-
Caine glared at the waitress as she went away. He thought and cocked his head, staring at Zach. "I-....I don't know how to explain. It's just not safe and it's just dangerous. You might have to stay with me. I'm sorta putting your life on pause. It's very dangerous to stay away from me and the other demon's will expect you to be at home. We might have to relocate you for the moment. I'm very sorry but I have to keep you safe and it's the only way." He shrugged and waited for the coffee. The waitress came and sat their drinks down. She smiled and Caine couldn't tell if it was fake or real. He rolled his eye's.
-
By the way, I'll be a little slow. However, I'll still be on.))
-
Zachriel nodded, frustrated a little. "Well, I guess if it means I live. Where do you live?" He asked, tilting his head. He didn't want to be far from home if he had to stay away from his apartment. Zachriel was already homesick, after all. He would like to stay in the general area- but had no idea if that was possible. Even so, he was still unsure whether or not to trust the stranger who claimed to be his "guardian angel." Part of him fully believed him, and a very small part of him was confused, and therefore, did not buy into the stranger's words. Zachriel hoped he was making the right decision.
-
Caine felt a little bad for the Angel. Zachriel probably was scared and confused. However, Caine couldn't feel bad for a stupid little Angel. If he hadn't held himself back earlier he wouldn't drank the angel's blood and killed him, but he certainly couldn't make a seen in front of that many people. Caine took a sip of his black coffee and frowned. "I don't technically live anywhere, but I'll get us a apartment. I'm sorry all this bad stuff is happening at once. I didn't mean for it to go so bad. Sometimes, bad stuff happens and you just have to get through everything."
-
"I guess." Zachriel mumbled as his cappuchino was delivered. Suddenly, this whole "guardian angel" thing was sounding worse and worse. Rationally, he would have to leave his whole life behind. His job, his family, his friends, his apartment, his money. Everything. Gone without a trace.
There was an energy within the angel that vibrated. Any supernatural being would be able to see it effortlessly. The pure, white light that resided within his soul. The extreme amount of power that resided in a Knight of God- and a perfectly pure, beautiful body.
All of this, of course, Zachriel was unaware of. This leaved him as helpless as a mortal- With one exception. A huge danger. Anything supernatural would immediately be out to get him whilst he was weak and unaware of his powers. He could easily be taken advantage of- And Zachriel could do nothing about it. -
Caine's glared at the Zach's expression. He was in a very wonderful mood now. Caine didn't actually expect to trick the Angel. 'I'll tell him one day that he is an Angel, but today will definitely not be the day. I'll let him become my friend first.' Caine nodded and smiled. He took a drink of his black coffee and looked at all the people that was in the shop. There was at least five, not including them. Caine didn't really realize he was doing a terrible thing by tricking the supernatural being. It was only pure nature to him. He shifted in his chair and got comfortable. "Don't worry so much. I have everything under control. It'll just be for a little bit of time. I'm positive life will go on again soon," Caine nodded and held the warm mug in both of his hand's. "If anything bad happens I'll be there to protect you." Caine's orb's studied the male.
