Ace was having a terrible flashback when he heard Pierce begin to awake. He whimpered from under the blankets, kicking violently. He whined to himself, "I-I'm scared." He felt hot tears well up and fall down his cheeks. He tried escaping the flashbacks but couldn't. Ace wanted Pierce to calm him down and reassure him, but remembered what he said about not always being so kind.
-
Pierce rolled out of bed, suddenly jumping to his feet with a cry. His eyes were wide, his breathing heavy as he saw Ace kicking around. "Shut up," he muttered. "Shut up!" He yelled, louder, desperate to escape Ace's sobs, which sounded too much like his brother's. "No, no, no..." he growled, tears pricking his eyes.
-
Ace whimpered a bit more, trying to quiet himself down. Fear shook his body as he remembered the man yelling at him to stop screaming. He grasped his own wrist, squeezing it tightly in order to contain the pain. Tears fell down his cheeks at the speed of light, and Ace took his other hand to yank his own red hair in a desperate attempt to release the pain. This is where his suicidal tendencies had begun- When he had a flashback, he would do anything to vent the pain. Anything.
-
"Stop it! Stop it!" Pierce shouted, grabbing Ace's wrist and pinning him to the bed. "I'm sorry, okay?! I didn't mean to kill him," he let out a sob, ripping himself away from the terrified boy and into the corner, sinking down. "I didn't mean to..." he moaned, muttering curses and apologies. After a minute, he seemed to have returned to his more humane self, and he quickly stood up, staring wide-eyed at Ace.
-
Ace's eyes were filled with tears and were bloodshot. His wrist ached were Pierce had grabbed it. Old cuts were on such a wrist, but some fairly recent, and the reason he was put in rehab. He hugged his arms around his body, looking to Pierce. He gave a confused look, and he as well had snapped out of his frenzy. He sniffles a little, tilting his head. Ace wasn't entirely sure what to feel.
-
"Oh god, I'm sorry," he breathed, hesitantly walking closer to the obviously frightened and confused boy. Pierce's heart sank. Ace was already afraid of him. He was a monster. "I'm...sorry." he murmured softly. "I didn't mean to frighten you." he grabbed his wrist, but much gentler this time, examining the cuts sadly.
-
Ace wanted to pull his wrist away with great force, but his lip trembled and he was unable to do so. Fear still filled him as he looked away from his wrist- caused by that terrible night. He ignored the other's apology, not sure how to respond. Ace sniffled a little, pressing his body into the bed. Ace found it harder and harder to ignore Pierce, hardly resisting the urge to keep his eyes off of him.

"You...you've hurt yourself." he sighed and sat down on Ace's bed, releasing his wrist. "I'm sorry I lost control, I...I had a dream." He glanced over at the trembling redhead. "I assume you did too..?"
-
"Y-yeah, when I sleep I-I have these n-night t-terrors and t-tremors." Ace answered, shakily. He was still trembling from fear, and a self hate built up at his scaredy-cat nature. Most people would say 'It's normal, you had a traumatic experience.' But Ace found himself unforgiving towards himself and his constant living in fear of everyone and every thing. He knew a lot of people glamorized cutting, but he straight down despised it. Ace despised it so much. His terrors had caused him so much pain, it made him feel inhuman and rotten..
