There was something serene about standing outside at night on her bedroom's balcony, staring up at the stars. Sure, it was cliche, but it seemed to put everything into perspective. And the woods at the edge of the field outside her home made everything better. While it was too far away from the city for her liking, the old, remodeled farmhouse was nearly perfect in every way. Her father being away on a business trip made every bit of it better. Just as she was about to head in for the night, Tabby spotted a shooting star steam across the sky. Before it faded out, she quickly made a wish. "Shooting star in the midnight blue, please help me make my wish come true. I wish for some sort of adventure. Anything to make my life a little more... exciting."
Again, cliche. But it was what made things fun. -
It's cold.
The thought crossed her mind and she walked along the path, but she pushed it back. It didn't matter if she was cold, she couldn't do anything about it until she found someplace to stay.
Maybe a human would let her spend the night..?
No, that's crazy. Humans didn't like nekos. She'd learned that over the years.
She looked down at her outfit, which she'd taken from a goodwill box, consisting of skirt and an oversized sweater. At one time she'd has a nice dress, but now..She wore what she could find. Of course, she still had standards. She refused to wear anything that trapped her tail. She had however found a hat to hide her ears, a cute beanie.
She sighed, seeing a farmhouse come into view. Finally the forest ended.
She decided she had to try. It was too cold to sleep under the stars tonight. She wrapped her tail around her waist and went up to the door, knocking. -
newww charactersss.
Wait do we have to be nekos? Or can my character be part bunny? Because that'd be adorable a bunny cat relationship -
I don't care what breed, tbh
-
okay then I shall make a bunny

Name: Vermilion La'Fae
Age: 17
Other: Ears are gray like her tail, with white fluff on the tips. She doesn't even bother hiding her ears, though she used to. Anymore she lets people think what they want, though that's not to say she is outgoing or an extrovert. In fact it's the opposite. She's shy and doesn't really have any friends, though she is helpful and sweet. She just doesn't bond well, and gets frightened easily. -
Oh man gimme a sec
And I'll start us off -
Name: Charlie Henderson
Gender: Guy (trans)
Age: 17
Appearance: Charlie has curly, dirty blonde hair, hazel eyes, and fair skin. His cheeks, shoulders, and knees are freckled, and he has a short, but lanky build. He has a thin, orange striped tail, with ears to match. He prefers to wear sweaters more than anything else.
Other: He hides his ears and tail whenever possible, because he prefers to blend in. However, his classmates always find out, no matter how well he tries to hide it. He doesn't handle attention or affection well. -
Oh, and his ears are more round than pointed.
He fixed the beanie one last time before getting out of the car. His parents insisted on driving him to the first day at every new school, and since he'd been to quite a few, this routine was nothing new. The teachers never seemed to mind the beanie much, especially since he only wore it to cover the orange, feline ears. His tail was tucked into his pants so that, no matter how uncomfortable it was, no one could see it. Charlie headed up the steps and into the building, thankful for the empty halls. He eventually found his way to the principal's office, where he knew he'd get his class schedule. -
[new kid routine]
Vermilion has just exited the office with her schedule. Her ears swished a bit as she walked out of the door, holding her notebook and schedule close to her chest. She glanced at the person coming into the office, and blushed slightly, murmuring a 'hi' before swiftly heading down the hall. -
(p much. also no his last name is Carmichael)
He did a double take as she walked by. Were those--yes, they were real. Actual ears. She had actual rabbit ears. Maybe he wasn't alone. He held the though close as he stepped into the office. The principal seemed to be surprised at the the fact that she had two new students in one day. "You must be Charlie. Have a seat."
He quietly sat down, hands in his lap as she turned to find the new student information set aside for him. "Here it is!" she exclaimed, more to herself than to him, then turned and set it down in front of him. "Mr. Carmichael, your grades from previous schools are quite impressive, but I have to say that I was disappointed by your lack of extracurricular activities. I included a list of the ones I thought you might like."
"Thank you, Ms... Ericsson," he said, checking at the last moment to find out what her name was. He hurried out of her office as she wished him good luck. He despised that sort of principal. He wondered if the "World's Best Principal" mug was one she purchased for herself. It probably was. -
[nice name dweeb]
Looking down at the sheet, she found her first class was something easy. Creative writing. It and French were the only two classes she took that she wasn't obligated to take. And they were only because she needed an escape, as the two classes did not have many students.
She started down the language arts hall, sighing. Another school, another group of people to stare and gawk. At least she didn't hide it anymore. It was much easier to just show people and get it over with, then to risk them finding out and thinking it's some big secret.
She walked into class, greeted with a couple stares from the few students who were in there. -
(First name vroomvroomfirstname)
His first class was a Calculus course, in a room on the second floor. Because it was an advanced class, there weren't very many students in it. Unfortunately, they were also the people he was most uncomfortable around. He hated to admit it, but the students in most of his classes were fairly nerdy. The last thing he needed was for one of them to find out and suddenly turn him into one of their sick anime fantasies. He took a deep breath, made sure his ears were tucked in, then headed into the classroom.
Class had already started, but it didn't seem to be a problem to have one more student. He quickly introduced himself at the front of the room (by order of the teacher, of course), then found a seat. He sat at the least crowded desk group, setting his backpack down by his chair.
