Travis took out a notebook and placed IR upon his desk as he waited for instructions. A man walked in as the others came in and said" welcome to history class" -
(Night)
I took out my History notebook, and waited for what we were supposed to do. Just then the teacher came in,"Welcome to history class, today we are going to be starting a group project." The teacher said enthusiastically. -
Travis looked up at the teacher as he said" you'll be put into groups of two for a class project were going to do. First group is mike and Jason. Second group is Travis and Analia. " he kept naming the groups as Travis looked around tying to find this Amalia person.

As the teacher continued saying names, I scanned around the room. I know everyone's name in this class except for, the new boy. I looked for him, and my eyes rested upon his.

The teacher said" Now find your partner. Instructions will be passed out soon." The other students quickly got into their pairs until only one person was left. Travis looked and saw it was the girl from the bus that morning." Guess she's Analia then." He said as he stood up and walked over to her. He held out his hand and said" I'm Travis, are you Analia?" He asked her staring at her.

I looked down at Travis' hand. I really didn't even except him to talk to me, yet alone hold his hand out. If I am in a group project, I usually do all the work. The other partner and I wouldn't have any interaction what-so-ever. "Um, yeah I am." I said not moving a muscle.

Travis pulled his hand back thinking,' why'd I hold my hand out?' He took a seat in the desk beside her" OK" he said as he looked down at the paper they were given for the project.

"Okay." I replied, literally not knowing what to say, but then I remembered,"You know what, I usually do all the work anyway. I can do it, and you can go back to your friends." 'Holy s---. Did I just say that?' I thought to myself, surprised I even spoke.

Travis looked at the girl" new here remember. I have no friends!" Travis quickly shut himself up and looked down." Besides I need something to do, I need to do dome work." He said.

"You're not the only one." I mumbled too loudly, but still hoping no one heard me.I feel guilty now, 'No wonder no one likes to be around me.' I thought. I looked around the room, everyone laughing, chatting, laughing away with their partners. Never have known what that feeling feels like. To have "teamwork", I looked at Travis, the person who actually would do work and not leave me to do it. I shook my head to forget about the thought. "Well since you need to do work, we can split it evenly?" I asked more than actually said.

Travis looked at Analia" sure, evenly sounds good." He said staring at her. Travis looked around the room and then to the clock" we have twenty minutes till class ends, shall we start now?" He asked to the girl. -
(It's alright.)
I seen Travis looking at me, but he looked away. 'Wonder what is wrong with me?' I thought to myself. "Yeah, that might be a good idea." I replied, but the teacher had something to announce. -
Travis heard the teacher, Mr. Rogers, tap on the board to get attention" Class, this project is to be done on your own time and not in class. You have a week to finish the project until Monday the fourth of October." He said Travis looked at Analia " now what? When do we start?" He asked her staring at her.

After Mr. Rogers said that. I froze. 'On our own time. Meaning we would have to go over to each other's houses. Oh god. Not mine. No. No. NO! Dad will flip, then Travis could..... No Analia, don't forget about it, keep your house as not an option.' I looked at Travis, "Um, we could stay after school, and work on the project in the Library? Or at Lunch?" I asked. Trying to avoid the house option.
