Ashley heaved a sigh of relief when she hear "Ash" instead of "Ashley." She slowly raised her hand, glancing around the room for her partner. She saw the attractive boy from earlier and tried not to blush. -

Arturo grinned, flashing his teeth once again when he saw it was the dude from earlier. He pratically skipped over to him, so happy that he wasen't with a female. He slapped his hand against his partner's with a grin, then lowered both their hands. He let go of their hands after a moment, humming. "Dude, your hands are super soft. Do you like, wear lotion or something?" He asked as the teacher continued to list of partner.. -

Ash smiled when Arturo came over to him, glad they didn't have to sit next to girls. She tried to act like a guy and return the hand slap thing, blushing the whole time. "Nn, uh..genetics maybe? I don't do much besides write..." She closed her mouth and atared at the table. -

Arturo shrugged, not really thinking about it all that much. "Mm, okay." He really couldn't argue with science. He hummed and swayed from side to side absent mindedly as the rest of the partners were picked until everybody had one. "Okay, class. Now, I would like you to sit down with your partner and put down on paper some places you can wander to." -
Yess~
Ash already had out a paper and pencil, ready to write. She turned to her partner, all business and kind of smirked. "Th-there's a Weed, California.." She giggled a little at the idea. -
Arturo lifted himself up so he was sitting on the edge of the small desk. He noticed how his voice was a little high for a dudes, but who was he to judge? "We could go there." He said, tapping his chin as he thought. "And there are some huge waterfalls I want to go see. We could go to Diseny Land!"

Ash couldn't help but laugh as she wrote everything down in shorthand. "Don't you think everyone else will be going to Disneyland too?" She blushed and frowned at the same time. "I mean.. Not that we can't go to popular places too.. I was thinking more out-of-the-way places no one knows about.. I mean, this is both of ours project, I'm just saying.." She sighed and shut her mouth, knowing she was just digging a deeper hole for herself.

Arturo nodded, considering this. "Well, probably. Who would pass up a chance to go to Disneyland?" He questioned, glancing at Ash. "How about we go to both? You chose some places to go and I can chose some as well, and then we can take turns going to places. We need to find out what we can take whenever we go to these places and what we should leave." He added.

Ash smiled at the thought. "Sounds good to me...!" She thought for a second before suggesting "rocks? When I was little, I used to collect rocks. When we went on vacation, I would take five rocks from my home town and exchange them for five rocks from wherever we went. We could do the same thing.. Only with stuff for the assignment.?" She looked curiously up at the boy sitting on the desk, wondering if he would think her childish for suggesting it.

He pondered over the rock idea for a couple of moments before nodding. "Yeah, that sounds cool. Sounds like a plan," A soon as he had finished saying that, the bell rung. Arturo hurried over to his desk, slinging his bag over his shoulder and was the first one out the door. He began to walk to his next class, Gym.

Ash slowly put her hings away and left the room. Math was her next subject, and she calmly walked to class, once again keeping her head down as if to hide from the sneers. She didn't like her locker position so much that she kept as many books in her backpack as possible. She sighed and entered the classroom.

Arturo jogged to the Gym, eager for class to get started. Gym was one of his favorite classes of the day and it helped him relieve stress caused by the rest of his boring classes. He hummed quietly as he got dressed with the other guys in the locker room.

She sighed as she entered the classroom. Everyone was noisy- too noisy to even hear herself think. She sighed and took a seat near the front, hoping that being closer to the teacher would improve her chances of actually learning something. She tried not to listen to the jeers floating her way. There was that "nerd" insult; it joined the usual "emo" and "shorty" ones. To be honest, she saw them all as compliments. Nerd- yup, she was smart. Emo- yes, and proud of it. Shorty- she didn't exactly think that 5'4" was something to be ashamed of, but apparently they did. Maybe it was different for guys. She shrugged it off and patiently waited for the teacher.

Arturo walked out of the locker room in his gym clothing, waiting outside by the bleachers for Coach Repka to tell them what they would be doing that day. Once everyone was dressed out and outside, Coach clapped his hands together. "Kay class. Today we're gonna be playing some football!" He tossed the football to some tall jock. "Form teams and start!" Arturo was picked last, as always. He wasen't very athletic, he enjoyed drawing a lot more. They started the game and Arturo hummed as he ran around, not really knowing what he was doing. Not paying attention, a kid with the football ran straight into him. The kid's elbow connected with Arturo's head, and his head slammed against the sidewalk next to the field. Then all Arturo saw was black.
