Arturo woke up around the same time today as he did the day before. He quickly got up and took a burning hot shower before changing into this and heading downstairs. He grabbed his bag and his lunch, throwing his lunch into his bag and running down his sidewalk where he met the bus just in time. He climbed on and went to his normal seat in the very back after smiling and fist bumping quite a few people.

Ash had woken up too late and didn't have time to put on makeup. She wore all black and hid her face with a ginormous hoodie. Making sure she still looked like a dude with her wrapped chest, she trudged to school and went through the motions. She sat down at her usual spot in English and got out a new notebook. -

Arturo walked down the hallway hand and hand with a freshman that had the nerve to sit with him on the bus. He was actually really sweet and Arturo was feeling really nice today. He let the cute little freshman go with a kiss on the forehead when they reached the point where all the hallways connected. The guy probably though Arturo was really into him now, but he didn't care. He was just a major flirt. He headed off to English and sat down in his usual spot, but ignored Ash. -

Not long after Arturo got there, a Sophomore came up to Ash and slid her a printed-off news article. The title was "The Trans Scene: the best places to change your gender." She eyed the article and nodded at him. "Thanks.. But what took you so long, I asked for this over a month ago?" She added teasingly. He shook his head and chuckled. "My boyfriend would flip if he saw this. Just keep it under wraps, my man." Ash nodded. "Yeah okay.. Thanks." She started reading it once the guy left. It was several pages long, and she read it as she waited for class to start. -

Arturo eyed the article. He saw the title and huffed before going back to scrolling through Instagram absentmindedly on his phone. The teacher had yet to arrive yet and he was just fine with that. -

Ash looked through it and circled some places. When she flipped to the back, her eyes bugged out at the prices. She groaned and laid her head in her arms on the desk. -

Arturo did his best to ignore Ashley, he didn't do very well with liars. Turning towards her, he said, "When are you going to stop lying to everyone?" He didn't even bother to lower his voice, it's not like they would know what he was talking about anyways. -
Ash shook her head and turned to face him. "Hopefully I won't have to in time. I don't like how I am. I need to change myself. You were right, it is weird.... And.." She signed and turned back to face the desk. "Besides, it's not like anyone cares" she muttered.

"You know, it would have been a lot better if you would have just came as a chick so you didn't have to lie to everyone," he said, biting his lip. "Could have saved me from falling for you.." He said, blushing slightly. He went back to staring at his phone without another word.

Ash shrugged. "That would make it weird when I finally did make it happen. Besides, I don't even like acting like a girl. This way, I can act like a guy... I thought people would ignore me.." She also wanted to know what gender had to do with love, but decided not to mention as much.

"How is that weird? Becoming trans all of a sudden is weird to you?" The look on his face showed how confused and upset he was. "Well, obviously not. I can't believe you, honestly. It shouldn't matter if you're a guy or a girl because you know, personality is everything, but the fact that you lied about it.." He frowned at his desk. "Then telling me your gay..You're just straight."

Ash nodded at the question. "Well, obviously it does matter. If I had been a girl from the start, you wouldn't have been talking to me. You'd be sulking through this whole project. You wouldn't give a damn about my personality because of my gender. And I never said I was gay, just that I don't like girls."

"Yeah, because maybe I'm gay and don't have any interest whatsoever in chicks, no matter if they have the greatest personality in the world cause you know what, vaginas are gross. And that's that!" He huffed, crossing his arms.

"You just said that it shouldn't matter. You're contradicting yourself. Yesterday you said that if I was a girl, you'd be straight or bi. So technically, you're lying too." She grabbed the article and stared at it for a while before tossing it in the trash and signing. Pricey s---.

Arturo rolled his eyes. "That's just because your hot, but that doesn't matter now because just due to the fact that your hot doesn't mean I'm going to forget you're a liar," he said, putting his phone into his bookbag as the teacher walked in, instructing them to work on their projects before plopping down at his desk.
