Ash was surprised he actually set her down, and almost immediately fell against the wall of lockers. Nobody was jostling her, since she was so close to Arturo. She thought about the question for a while, then shook her head and nodded at the same time.
-
Arturo placed a hand gently on the younger's arm, making sure he was stable before handing the textbooks to him. "You're a trip, you know that? But you need to be careful, don't want you getting hurt.." He said with slight worry in his voice, kneeling down and getting his own stuff from his locker before standing up and tucking his notebook and textbook under his arm.
-
Ash had no clue what a trip was, and had no idea how to react. She took her Physics book and set it on the bottom of her locker, and messily shoved the rest onto the top shelf. Of course, she made sure she wasn't going to drop things or nudge Arturo. She kept repeating "trip" under her breath, trying to figure out how that word could be used to describe somebody.
-
He watched Ash put his stuff into her locker with interest, a small smile on his face. "You know, you're different from most guys. And not just because you're not constantly staring at my ass.." He said with a small chuckle. "You're..good different. Nothing like a girl, thank God," he said with a grin.
-
Ash had no clue what was going on due to her confusion over the word "trip," and therefore didn't know how to react. "Uh..thanks..?" She glanced at the hall clock and frowned. "We're going to be late for class"
-
Arturo gave a small shrug, not really worried about being late for class even though it was Algebra and that was his favorite class of the day. "I'd rather just stay in the hallway with you then learn about equations," he said with a smirk. It was true; he would miss all of his classes just to be able to stand and stare at Ash. It was official; he was obsessed with this boy.
-
Ash sighed and closed her locker. "Well, I need to get to class or no graduation for me." Skipping or failing a class meant a repeat, which would push back graduation and her ability to become a nurse, which would push back being able to make money. She bit her lip and watched Arturo expectantly.
-
He sighed but nodded. "Alrighty, then. I guess if graduation is that important to you.." He deemed as of now on whatever was important to Ash was now important to him as well. "What class do you have next, gorgeous?"
-
Ash shuffled her feet shyly and looked at her class schedule. It being only the second day, she still needed it. "Ah.. Physics.." With the whole ordeal, she had forgotten where the classroom was, so she just handed the paper to Arturo.
-
He glanced over the class schedule handed to him for a few moments before nodding and linking his arm in Ash's. "Right this way, Sir!" He said with a grin and led him down the hallway, humming quietly to a love song as they walked. He stopped at the end of the hall and pointed to the classroom at the left. "Physics. Right here, princessa." He didn't know why he called Ash who was obviously a guy to something a girl would be called, but oh well. He unhooked their arms with a smile.
-
Ash blushed and tried to keep up with Arturo. It was surprisingly easy to walk with no one bumping into her. By the time they got to the classroom, her face was flushed, but a light smile played her lips. "Oh.. Thanks.." She stared at her feet, not really sure what to say.
-
"Anything, gorgeous. I have to get to Algebra now, but I'm sure I'll see you around soon." He knelt down a gave the younger a light kiss on the forehead before turning and walking back down the hallway, strutting in his onesie. His class was in Hallway B while he was in Hallway E. He turned right and jogged to Hallway B.
-
Ash whispered an "okay" after him, but he was already gone. Not realizing she was still flushed, she turned and went into the classroom.
-
Arturo made it to class pretty late, but the teacher just gave him a smile. About every teacher adored Arturo and normally didn't care if he was late or just didn't come at all. It helped that his family was rich and on Teacher's Appreciation Week it wouldn't be a big surprise if all the teachers got a new car from the Day family. He slid into a seat in the front row and took out his notebook as the teacher went on.
-
As class started, Ash was writing her heart out. Almost every word the teacher said made it into her Physics-dedicated notebook. Not many Juniors could take the advanced course, and she was the only non-Senior in the room. She listened intently during the entire period, refusing the be the "young, inexperienced" one.
