He smiled and swallowed what was in his mouth. "Not anymore. You were the last. Oh, want some breakfast?" He jerked his finger towards the pancakes on the counter.

"There are more people?" She went for the pancakes, taking the remaining plate of 4 before sitting down across from him.

He nodded "Aside from us, six more in this house. They've already eaten, I guess."

"...Do you just go to random houses and take people?" she took a bite of her food.

"No. They know exactly who they're going to take each time. There's some specific thing that's going on and I don't know what it is. I'm actually a victim just like you."

"Why are you taking people then? Why don't you just drive off and escape?" She asked him finishing up the pancakes.

He sighed and looked out the window. "My sister"

"He has your sister?" she asked, not sure what he meant. Why couldn't he take her with him?

He shook his hear rigorously. "Before, it was just me and my little sister, living alone. He was going to kidnap both of us but I made a deal with him: I'd help him capture ten more people if he left my sister alone."

"And now you have 10." She stated, smiling a bit. At least someone was going to get out. How long was she going to stay here? And who would pay to get her out?

He nodded. "So my sister is safe, now all we have to do is wait." He finished off the rest of his pancakes.

"We? For what?"

He stared at her blankly "Ransom."

She sighed and looked down at her empty plate...then back at him. "Right....you're not from my town. You don't know who I am, do you?" She asked quietly.
