"I think we could try," he said. He looked down at the ring that Lovino gave to him, blinking away tears. Oh, god, Antonio wanted to marry his precious Italian so badly, and now he even had a ring. "Thank you," he managed, slipping it onto the proper finger. "It's beautiful, thank you."

"You're beautiful." he corrected gently. "You're always the one supporting me. You're the one who wipes away my tears, and chases off my nightmares. You always protect me, even when I'm sick and delirious, and you're always the one who compliments me even when I don't deserve it. And even if I'm usually quiet or mean, I-I want to be that person for you too." he hugged him tightly. "You are so f---ing perfect. I love you."

Wntonio smiled, shyly, tears going down his cheeks. "You always deserve it, Lovino," he said, before he started crying. "Ah, sorry," he mumbled, trying to dry his tears with the back of his hand. "I just love you a lot."

Lovino shook his head. "Don't apologize." he mumbled. "Crying's okay." he said softly, carefully wiping a tear from his cheek. He left his hand there, gently framing his face, and leaned up to kiss him.

Antonio smiled past his tears, returning Lovino's kiss lovingly. He'd all but forgotten about the other being sick, and them needing to avoid such close contact.
(He's going to drop dead with all this carelessness) -
I know but at least then we get cute needy Toni and worried nurse Lovi)
Lovino's heart soared, it felt wonderful to be able to kiss him again, though he wasn't quite better. He was worried Antonio might get sick too, but he'd been fine so far. -
(Ooh yes yes good point)
Antonio pulled away after a moment, not wanting to push his luck too much. Sighing, he said, "I have to go feed the elephants before they get cranky. Will you be okay on your own for a bit?" -
Lovino sighed, but nodded. "I'll survive, I suppose..." he huffed. "But, um, a little water wouldn't be awful." he added. He wished he could go help, but collpsing in the elephant cage would probably just make more work for Antonio.

"'Course," Antonio nodded. He had water in a canteen in his room of course, so he went into his dresser and got it out, handing it to Lovino. "If I see Bella I'll ask her to come stay with you. But if I don't, I'll be quick. Five minutes, tops."

Lovino pushed himself into a sitting position and took the canteen, taking a long drink to ease his dry throat. "You'd better not be gone long." he said with a sigh, brushing his bangs aside.

"I won't," Antonio said, and kissed his forehead, before sliding off of the bed and leaving to go feed the elephants. The carriages had stopped in another fair ground, but on one side they were facing a large town.

Lovino glanced out the window, wondering where they were. Probably still in Germany, though he knew after this they'd be heading to France. A long trip, but that would move them closer to America, a good opportunity for them to go.

On his way to Maira's cage, Antonio didn't see Bella anywhere, so he made sure to hurry. He gave the elephant a few pats while he replaced her hay, and quickly moved on to Gorro. Even though it wasn't hot, he was getting a little sweaty, and he had a bit of a headache. Finally, when he was finished with Gorro, he went back to the carriage, looking a little sick.

Lovino was actually feeling much better than he had the previous day, and had gotten out of bed to stand by the window and study the town a little more. When Antonio came in, he turned quickly, sucking in a breath at the sight of the pale, sickly Spaniard. "f---, I knew this would happen." he swore, rushing to help Antonio into bed. "I'm sorry, are you okay? Is it bad? Do you need anything?"

Antonio stumbled a little, but made it to the bed safely. "I'm fine, just got a headache," he said, scrunching his eyes closed. "Let's go back to sleep."
